I detest filling forms at the best of times and least of all after a 10 hour flight from the UK with 2 children.
Can anyone advise what forms, if any, I have to complete on arrival at Sanford International and, more importantly, can I download them in advance.
My children are aged 12 and 15 and we each have standard UK passports with barcode ID.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Paul

Whenever we have flown we were given the forms at the start of the flight and completed them then - I've never flown into Sanford but I assume it would be the same as MCO?

You'll need a green visa waiver form & the white customs declaration. If you pm me I can send you a couple of each as I swiped some last time as I tend to take a couple of attempts to get it right. Be warned, if you make any error, cross anything out etc. they will make you complete a new form, hence my small collection!

You can ask for the green visa waiver form when you check in, then you can fill them in at your leisure in the airport lounge.

A few years ago I heard it somewhere that if you were staying in a Villa and you hadn't been given the exact location(say a Virgin Villa) you could say on the form 'Villa Kissimee area' orLake Davenport . We had a Villa at Christmas and I wrote this on all six forms. I had to fill six new ones out at the Airport with the location of the Virgin office as my adress.Be warned. It's a little humiliating and sets you back a long way at Immigration.

hi

I had a the same problems as Leech, unfortunately I filled them out incorrectly the second time as well! Suddenly I became very aware of security and started to think that we would not be let in.

Now when we go I make sure that I have filled them out exactly!

Just make sure you have the forms completely filled in - no errors or nothing left out - like passport numbers!!! I did this last year - on arrival at Chicago O'Hare - one of the busiest airports in the US - the customs man was not too chuffed! Luckily he did not send me to the end of the Q - which was 2 hours long! I think he took pity on me as I was the kids were playing up.

I'm not sure who you are flying with, but last year my mum and dad flew to New York. And, as they are not the best at filling in forms, we rang Virgin and they posted some green visa waiver forms to us and also the white customs one. So I was able to fill them in for them before they went.

We have flown to both Sanford and Orlando Int. andyou are always given the relevant forms on the plane to fill out with plenty of time. If you make a mistake, ask for a new one, no mistakes or crossings out allowed. Also make sure you know the exact address of where you are staying - street name etc. I believe they only make you fill out one form per household, so if all of the party live at one address, you should only have to fill in one form. Don't worry, it's not difficult, don't spend the next few weeks stressing over it. Have a great holiday.

The best tip I can give is to always get extra forms - that way if you are going to be a regular visitor to the States you will already have the forms to fill in - in advance!! We always have a stash from previous trips & fill the forms in a few days in advance, at home, when there is no stress & you can concentrate on it. You just need to make sure you date them for the day you are flying not when you fill them in! We then grab a few more when we check in next time - double check the form has not changed and then put those ones away for the next trip!

What do you put for an address if you are going to be staying in 5 different hotels whilst in Florida?? Do you just put the first one or put all 5?
