So we're going to WDW October 12-19th. I have a special day planned for dd who will turn 5 on the 13th, but not even a thought for dh whose birthday is on the 20th. We probably won't do anything when we get back, so I would like to do something special while we are still in Disney. Definately dinner, but need ideas for some kind of special Disney surprise gift for him. He's always been hard to shop for, no jewelry, no clothes, not a techie, likes sports but already has tons of sports memorbilia, and we are not the mushy lovey dovey type... you get the picture.

I guess what I'm asking is whether any dw's have celebrated their dh birthday in Disney and if so, what did you do/get him? For the Dh's out there, what did you get or would have appreciated from dw while in Disney? :confused3

If he's anything like my husband...he would rather have an adult evening out when you return instead of something AT Disney. Disney is an exhausting vacation and you will not come back feeling physically relaxed. We always go to Disney around our wedding anniversary so I always book my DH a massage. They do have massages at WDW but they are expensive and take away from family time. I send him when he gets home. After putting DD on his shoulders all week...he could use it!

We are going in Oct. Celebrating 5 yrs old@ Chef mickeys. I ordered a cake from the disney bakery. I was told when you order from there bakery, they make it more special. See if your hotel will do something (its hit or miss in disney for B-day special), but its worth a try. If he likes sports, there is a sports shop in Downtown Disney. Does he like nascar? The richard petty driving experience would be great for him. (he can actual drive a race car) Good luck

Thank you, thank you, thank you! :flower3:
I can already hear him bragging to all of his friends about it! :rotfl2:

Where can I find it?!

(I hope he fits... he's 6'3" 240lbs)

Sorry, I was so excited I forgot to ask about the disney bakery. Not for dh (he's not into cakes or dessert for that matter)... it's for dd who will celebrate her 5th birthday there at 1900 park fare after her bbb makeover. Is there a website to look at cake design choices, or do you just call? Do you have any info about the bakery, ie phone #?

This is turning out to be a great vacation, and I haven't even left Jersey yet! I'm officially a Disney addict, it truly is magical! :wizard:
