Forgive my ignorance...club level

So DH and I booked AKL club level with our 40% postcard and I am confused as to what this means.

I know that I will have a Savanah view, I know that there are snacks, drinks etc out for us from 6 am to 11pm. I know they offer turn down service with a mint on the pillow.

My question is what else do they do? I see that alot of people contact the conceirge prior to arriving but for what?

First of all, pat yourself on the back, because you are about to experience a great vacation! AKL has one of the best club services on Disney property. They will arrange reservations for restaurants, character meals, special events, if you want something out of the ordinary. they will send you a form to fill out or a way to contact them with your requests.

They also offer planning services. They can make your ADRs, plan recreational activities, book tee times, get tickes for La Nouba, etc.

Because you are Conc. level you can do the sunrise safari and breakfast buffet.

They can make the reservations 180 in advance or when I get there? I am worried about not getting what I want if I wait until I get there

My understanding is they will make your reservations for you before you arrive.

They can make your ADR's before the 180 day mark. Thus, you can get the best tables at your fav resturants.

They arranged some of our meals we could not get and CL gives you the option to do the Sunrise Safari It was the highlight of our anniversary trip and my husband still brags about it. Our guide was awesome and it was the best money I have ever spent in disney. It was funny we saw a Samantha Brown show on AKL and the guide in the show was our guide. Very cool!!!!

If you ever get through to Itinerary Planning they will be very friendly and helpful in making your reservations - however there appears to be only two people working the AKL IPO at the moment and they seem very overstretched - more than 48 hours to return my call this week, and only then after I called AKL and asked to speak to a manager

I just booked the sunrise safari yesterday. I left them a message and they called me back the very next day. We will be there in August

This thread has been very helpful to us. We are wanting to book AKL Concierge level for this September and have heard terrible things about how long it takes to get anywhere and that the construction has made the animals scarse etc. We also heard that now all the good rooms are now for DVC only. We are traveling with two sons, 17 and 11 who love animals and thought this would be the greatest. Also, any feedback on the Platimum Dining Plan?

Well, as you have seen from my earlier comments I have not been impressed with AKL's itinerary planning... at this point my planning is now over... not sure that I'll be making any live reports, but I'll have plenty to say about AKL and the Platinum plan when I get back - hopefully a lot more complimentary than anything I've had to say so far.

They are great with making your ADR's and yes they make them ahead of time. We have honestly never not gotten a ressie anywhere we have wanted one when staying CL. Hope you have a wonderful time!
