Forgive me if this has been asked = procedures for DME when LEAVING the resort..

Haven't seen this asked/answered. Forgive me if it has.

What do I do on my return with DME?

Do I call 24 hours in advance to arrange pick up (like with Mears)? Our flight leaves at 830AM, so I am assuming the bus will be there around 530AM. So, we would probably want to head for checkout around 5am, right? Checkout, hang out in front of the resort.

Then, our luggage. We are not flying a participating airline, so I am assuming that the driver will store our luggage under the bus, right? Then we will haul it in and check in for our flight, right?

Just give me the proper exiting techniques, please (can you tell I have a 2 year old that watching Nemo ALLLLLLL the time?)

On the day before the return, there will be an envelope tied to your door.
Inside the envelope you will find a slip of paper with your pickup time.
It is usually 2 1/2 - 3 hours prior to departure.

You will need to checkout and then hang outside near the Disney Magical Express/Mears Shuttle sign.

When the bus pulls up he will ask what your pick up time is, if he is your bus --you will have to show him your Magical Express departure slips and he will take your luggage and put it under the bus. He will ask you what airlines you are using and then he will tell you what stop you are 1st (Terminal B) or 2nd stop (Terminal A)

You will then get your luggage when you get to the airport and proceed to the check in counter for your airline.

That is correct, essentially. When you get to the airport for your arrival, the Magical Express desk will confirm your flight numbers for your trip home to make sure they have it in the computer correctly.

As the previous poster said, the day before you go home a departure time and bus voucher will be attached to your room door. Check this. If all is correct, then report to the Magic Express bus stop with your luggage about 15 minutes before your bus time.

If this voucher is incorrect, then stop by guest services at your resort to correct it, then show up at the corrected time.
