Forever Family!!

She came into the world on April 14, 2007.
She came into our hearts and our home on December 19, 2008.
Finally, on Jun 22, 2012 (3.5 years later!), she officially became a forever member of our family!!!
Please help us welcome Kiniah Nichole into our family!

I know some of you have shared in the journey my partner Jen and I have travelled to become parents. We finally made it official on Friday.

We're an adoptive family, too. Our kids are teens now, but it still gives me goosebumps to hear about someone's Forever Family day.

We did have the party! The adoption was Friday morning, then we relaxed with family until Friday afternoon, and the party was from 3pm until 9pm. It was exhausting, but it was absolutely perfect! We had a slideshow playing on the TV with a soundtrack playing in the background throughout the afternoon & evening. We had a table set up by the front door with a guest book that people could sign and leave messages.
It was perfect. It was really laid-back and low key. The weather was perfect, not too scorchingly hot, so we were able to let the kids play with sidewalk chalk and a sand table out on the back patio. It was very nice, and we got to see some people we haven't seen in a while!

Here's a pic of the banner we had made also. It's made of fabric, so we can use it again every year when we celebrate the anniversary! And it was just coincidence that it matched the dining room so well. The lady who made it had no idea!
