Ford Escape

Does anyone own a Ford Escape? This is the vehicle we rented on our trip to Oklahoma and I fell in love with the vehicle. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I've had my Escape since Feb 2001 and love it. I was going to say I have had no problems with it, but just recently my Low Coolant light has been going on and I'm not low on coolant. Probably just a short or something, but I'm taking it to the local garage on Saturday. Otherwise, I love my Escape. It's gotten me home through some nasty NJ weather.

My friend has one and she loves it! I have an Explorer, and we are thinking about getting rid of it. If we do, I'll go the Escape as well.

I have the Mazda Tribute (2001) which is almost the same, but better, IMO. I test drove both and felt that the Tribute had a much smoother ride than the Escape which is what made me choose the Tribute over the Escape. I'm really pleased with my baby - she has been great. We helped my friends move this past weekend and with the rear seat folded down we were able to do the move in 1.5 trips rather than 2 or 3 trips like it would have taken with just their cars.

I'd recommend test driving both and then deciding.

All I know is that I want one! DH wants a sedan though. I think that means we'll be getting a sedan.

my husband has an Escape. Well, its the vehicle he get from work. We like it. Not as big as a lot of SUVs, has a better rollover rating compared to many.

When I was shopping for SUVs, it was a choice between the Escape and the Santa Fe (Hyundai). I thought the Escape had a better ride but the Santa Fe' s look appealed to me more (what can I say? I'm a chick!!!)
