I refuse to go on the green side of Mission Space, but I can't stand that pressure feeling you get in your chest on the orange side. But I still ride it. I just take slow deep breaths until the feeling stops. I am also scared of heights, the only one that bothers me really is Soarin', which I just try hard not to think about the fact that I am some 40 feet up off the ground with my feet hanging down with only a seatbelt (with a locking mechanism) holding me in. For kicks after I buckled myself in while people were still loading, I tried to unbuckle it....and it was locked in already. It's such an awesome ride, I just deal with it. I am fine in rides where I am strapped in, such as roller coasters, but on rides like ferris wheels and the old Skyway where you really don't have anything you are strapped in with, I get serious panic attacks. Friends asked if I wanted to try the Characters in Flight balloon at DTD, and I told them I'd wave from the ground while they rode in it. That would just be too much for me!
