Did a search to see if I could figure this out.. and looked at many pictures but hoping that someone who has gone on the ride can help?? Wondering if when you are in the seats if you can touch the person next to you? Meaning if my son is sitting next to me could I hold on to his leg if he starts to get scared?
LOL.. really it's more about mommy being scared of course! :faint:
He's not scared of rides but I feel better knowing I can see/reach him .. hope that doesn't sound too over protective ::yes::

You really can't see the person next to you the way the seats are. If you had to I think you can probably put your hand on the restraints of the person next to you so you could touch their hand or maybe reach your leg out to the other person.

Yes, you can. :)
Found a picture of hand holding.

This reminds me of many years ago when my son was 2-3 and we rode Pteranadon Flyers - I was just beside myself trying to hold onto him in front of me. That ride was scary! lol

I guess the guy with the phone in his hand really understands about NO loose items. That's how accidents happen.

There's a really small cut-out in the plastic between the seats that you could kind of turn your head and see the next person through.. but in the dark it would be hard. You could also lean your body forward and see him if you must, but it's recommended that you always keep your head back on rides. You can certainly hold his hand or wrap your leg around his while in the seat, though! :)

You can definitely touch the person.

DS has no interest in seeing the acromantulas (acromantulae?), so I've told him exactly when to close his eyes, then I squeeze his knee when they are gone. Would be impossible without being able to touch him!

You can definitely touch feet. The only time I've ever lost a flip flop was on FJ.:rotfl: I was solo and had a lady with long legs sitting next to me swinging her feet. She accidentally kicked the back of my flip flop knocking it off my foot (despite me clinching my toes to keep them on). That was the last time I ever wore flip flops on FJ. Now I sit on them.:rotfl:

One trip last year, I went on as a solo rider with three Japanese tourists. The guy next to me had a small camera and took pictures throughout the ride. I kept expecting to have the ride stopped or to hear some CM's voice come across a speaker saying 'no photography', but nothing happened. Are there not any surveillance cameras on this ride?:confused3 They don't allow bags (not even cross body bags) but do allow folks to carry on loose cameras? He had it in his hands when we loaded, (not pockets) so the CMs had to see it (even if he had it in his pocket at the beginning of the line).

So you can't even wear a fanny pack if it's pretty tight to your body??

For FJ, they do allow you to bring small cameras on to the ride.. but it should be in a pocket. However if they take it out and have it in their hands, the biggest risk is that they're just going to drop it and destroy it. The bag issue is because it can cause interference with the restraints.

What about SLRs? (i just wear it around my neck0 no bag). I have carried it on every Disney ride, but I know US is stricter with requirements.

You cannot wear anything like a camera around your neck on several rides at Universal and IOA. If it won't fit in a fanny pack, you will need to either have a non-rider hold it for you or put it in a locker.

I wore a fanny pa k but it was just for my phone, cards and some cash. I didn't even have my wallet. I was able to use this on FJ, Hulk, RRR and everything else. It was very flat though

If he drops it on the track and it interferes with the ride, the ride wills top. There are a kazillion computerized sensors on that ride and every ride. Although it will be an inconvenience to everyone, the rider will suffer the most with the loss of his phone.
