Forbidden Journey breaks down with reporters onboard

Rides breaking down are "normal theme park occurances?" Does that sound funny to anyone else?

Upside down? That's crazy. Are the people who designed this thing stupid? Any engineer with half a brain would know that in case of an error or stop like that the vehicle should revert to a position that doesn't pose a risk to the passengers.

That would be like a looping roller coaster stopping at the top of a loop.

*sigh* Starting to be glad I'm too big to ride, might end up saving me a lot of grief in the long run.

You do know that roller coasters have been stuck a the top of a loop in the past.

This is not the first nor will it be the last ride to be stuck in a bad spot.

I haven't been to Universal yet, but ride breakdowns seemed pretty normal when I was visiting Walt Disney World.

Let's see... last trip we were evacuated from Ellen's Energy Adventure, just before the end. We got stuck in the Great Movie Ride - in the Tarzan room! We had to sit there for about 20 minutes listening to him yodelling over and over and over again. Small World broke down when we were in line - I'm so grateful we weren't one of the folks on the boats! And we never got to ride Space Mountain because it had broken down, too.

So, yeah, I'm guessing it's a pretty normal theme park occurrence.

Five minutes on your back staring up at the ceiling sounds pretty safe to me. From the reviews I've read, FJ doesn't go upside down.

Not to anyone who has spent a decent amount of time in theme and amusement parks.

Rides break down. Some rides, like Test Track, are notorious for breaking down often.

It happens frequently.

Theme park rides do break down every day sometimes they get back on line quickly and others do not. It was not the best of times for FJ to break down with reporters on it 'course that wasn't planned but for all the people for it to break down on reporters probably the worst.
