unless your a guy who wears a bra, in which case welcome! :thumbsup2

Have you ever been professionally fitted for a bra? Was it worth it?

I hate all of mine, they are always the first thing to go when I get home! Sorry if that's TMI. And I'm wondering if the fit is to blame or if it's the style. :confused3

Yes, I had mine fitted at Victoria Secret, and I was wearing the wrong size. There was no charge, so I thought, what the heck! I loved the bras I bought there!

Yes, I had mine fitted at a local bra shop when I was pregnant. I think I've been to VS once too. At VS I think they do it over your shirt, but at the bra shop, I actually had my top off. Not really very modest with a big pregnant belly, but I made it through. I think most big department stores will do it for you too.

One of those fitter-women came at me with her tape measurer at Victoria's Secret one time, and as I can't stand people I don't know touching me, I tried desperately to avoid her--but to no avail. I kept trying to tell her, "I'm a 34A, I'm a 34A! Stop making me say it out loud!!!" She measured me anyway and said, "Yep. You're an A cup, alright." :magnify:

Honestly, I could probably go sans-support all the time, and nobody'd know. :smooth:

I had it done when I was pregnant too...I hated bras too, until I found out I was wearing the wrong size. There was no charge where I went ~ I think it was Lady Grace. It's much better now that I have the right size!

I actually used to do bra fittings. If it is done right it should only take about thirty seconds. According to statistics 80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size!! the biggest mistake most make is going bigger around instead of going up in the cup which is why most women complain that their bra is uncomfortable. It isn't fitting properly.

Yes, and I think everyone should! There is no time to be fooling around with gravity. :scared:

Been fitted more than once in my life (bridal, VS, local department store). The bridal place I went to once, was plain wrong. I honestly think it was because they didn't really carry any bras in the size I needed (cup-wise) It's just a human with a tape... but VS and the department store got me in ones that feel great on me.

Yep, I was fitted this past summer at V.S. by a very knowledgable saleswoman. After 2 pregancies and nursing 3 babies, lets just say my body was not the same as it was before. I finally went in and I was so off on what I was wearing...both on band and cup size. She spent a lot of time with me not only measuring but finding the right style bra for me. It was a world of difference...shocking, really.

I hate bras too! Whoever invented them?
I probably should get fitted because none of them ever seem to fit right.

We have a Maidenform store near us now, I was fitted there and love their bra's. I've also been fitted at VS.

I buy custom fit bras from a lady in town, and I LOVE them!!! They fit so nice, are so comfortable, and I don't feel like I'm falling out of them all the time. They are a little more expensive ($55), but very sturdy and well worth it, IMHO.

...you post these on purpose cause ya know I'll peek. :teeth:

And yes, I have worn a bra before....on my head! :woohoo: party:

For those of you that had it done at VS... did they do it over your clothes or did you have undress? :teeth:

DD had a girl at Nordstroms do a fitting for her after Oprah's bra show. The girl told her basically the same thing. ::yes:: She also said that most women's cup size are too small. She also told us that many of us "fuller figure girls" (and NOT so fuller figure girls - you may not believe your cup size if you are measured correctly!!!) are measured too small at VS since they only go up to a 40DD and they would like to fit us into what they sell.

She measured me over my clothes but did come in the fitting room with bras and spent time adjusting straps and such. She did recommend that based on my size and shape certain bras would be a better choice than others, which was nice. She kind of reminded me of the woman who fitted Miranda in the Sex and the City ep.

on an offnote, does anybody else miss the days when straps were adjusted in the front? what is up with the back adjustment? pita.

:lmao: :lmao:

I can just picture you, this tiny little thing, running away from a woman with a tape measurer..."I'm a 34A 0 - get away from me!"

hehehe

I was looking for a bra once...the woman came over to ask me if I needed help - I usually just say "no, just browsing"...but I really couldn't find what I wanted...so I showed her the style I was looking for and whispered my size.

"What dear?"
34b.
"WHAT DEAR? SPEAK UP!"

THIRTYFOURB!

I think the boys working at Champs across the mall heard me!
