? For WDW Pool Users MOVED TO RESORTS BOARD

As per the rules, do you shower before using the WDW pools?

  • Always. I believe in following the rules!

  • Never. I just go in after a sweaty day in the parks.

  • Yes, if my morning shower 8 hours ago counts.

  • Well, that's not an important rule, so my answer is sometimes.

  • That's a bogus photo, and showering is NOT a rule.

  • I plead the 5th.

No answer for me.

I never understood the need to get wet before entering a pool.

I can't answer never b/c I wouldn't go into a pool all yucky. I'd likely clean up in my room first before heading to the pool.

ETA: This rule is on all public pools in Florida that I am aware of. (Haven't been in all of them of course--but have seen a few at different establishments and neighborhoods in different counties).

I always shower before entering. Now how many hours before I enter I'm not going to say... :rotfl2:

While I do shower daily, I voted never because I never get a shower to specifically head to ANY pool, WDW or otherwise.

You know, I totally do not get the "shower" rule.

Let's look at it like this ... I shower to be "clean" before going into the pool. After I shower, I'm going to have to apply sunscreen, which means I'm "dirty" again and will have to take a new shower. So, I take the new shower and come out and have to apply sunscreen again. Now, I'm dirty once more and will have to take another shower and that just starts the vicious cycle. If I'm going to apply sunscreen once I'm out of the shower process, doesn't that defeat the purpose of the shower to begin with?! :confused3

Finally, isn't the reason they put so many chemicals in the pool b/c the chems kills off all gross bacteria and germs and whatnot!? So, if the chems are going to kill the gross on me, why take a shower to begin with?! :confused3

So confusing!!!!!!!!

Ditto! :confused3

Although I guess it makes sense if you're REALLY dirty- then you'd be bringing actual dirt into the pool...

I guess that on those rare occassions that I roll around in piles of dirt or mud, sure I'll shower before getting in the pool.
