For us Disney Chase card holders, how will we know if Free a dining is extended?

Actually in 2010 - the July 6th offer for FD from 8/15-12/21 was not offered to Visa card holders first, and neither was the 8/16 FD extension for 10/1-12/21 (and dates into 2011). Both went straight to the general public.

I agree with the PP - this is a misprint. It was offered to Visa holders first.
I know because I had to drive my dad across the state that morning and I had DH at home refreshing the page and watching the boards waiting for the code at 7am. I was on the highway on hold with Disney on my cell phone while calling DH on my dad's cell... I had to make another deposit to get the code applied.

I have never been notified either. Yesterday I was on the disneyrewards.com page and found a section that told me to add my email address if I wanted to receive special offers via email.

I filled that section out several years ago and check it periodically to make sure they still have my email. The only email I ever get from them are things like Disney on Ice tickets or Disney on Broadway type tickets. I've never been notified of any WDW special offers. I always read about them here on the DIS first.
