For Tim - The Mother of all Roundabouts

I've been there :) !! ...... but look! They are ALL going round the wrong way :teeth: !!

I've also been there! - On foot!

Now that's scary!

This pic reminds me of something I witnessed in Paris (eons ago). DH and I watched this little beat up fiat parallel park in a space that was too small. He went in head first, bumped the car in front of him (lightly) and it moved forward, then did the same to the car parked behind him. We were flabbergasted! According to the tour guide, that is a common practice, and that's why you're not supposed to set your parking brake in Paris. Ummm . . . try that over here and you're liable to get shot!

We've been up there too.

I had to drag my DH away I think he could have spent all day there watching the traffic & near misses. He said it was the best entertainment he'd had in along time.!!! he's had a sheltered life!!!!

It was also free for kids to go up & my youngest I think he was 7 at the time was fascinated by the concept of the Tomb o f the Unknown Soldier. Theres also a small museum dedicated to Napoleon .

its an attraction that appeals to kids.

I agree Bonzo. I took my life in my hands crossing it! I used the subway to get back across.
