We did both parks in one day today!! Just came back from our Universal day today. We got a 2-park/1-day pass thinking we'd just be able to do the headliners in each of the parks. We started in IoA with Dueling Dragons (rode twice), did Jurassic Park River Adventure, Hulk (twice), Spiderman, Dr. Doom, Storm Force, and Cat in the Hat...all by 10:30!! Then we headed to the Studios. We started with the Mummy, which wound up being a 15 minute wait - our longest wait of the day. We rode three other times later in the day in the single rider lane in 30 minutes. We did absolutely everything (except Beetlejuice, Fear Factor and Jaws since that was closed).

The 2-park/1-day ticket was $73 before tax - only available at the gate. They still tried to sell me the express pass though! I would have been really p.o.'d if I had purchased it. It was not necessary at all!!!

i'm gonna have to remember to quote you when new threads pop up saying express pass is needed in order to do one park in a day.

good to hear you saw it all and did not have crowd/line issues.

isn't it great to be able to zip right into those lines and ride the rides....

glad you had a great day today at the parks.
glad you didn't buy the epp and saved the money. (like for another day at the parks)

Right, it's always easy to do this in Jan/Feb.
There is no way this can be done during the busy seasons.
You can show up early to IOA, and get a lap of walk on rides. But then the crowd shows up at 11am, and it's over. You can do a few attractions at USF after this, but it becomes hectic.

Glad you enjoyed your visit. Now you're spoiled.

Coming during the busy summer months has advantages, the parks stay open later, and you can see the fireworks. So you go back to your room in the afternoon, hit the pool, and rest.

But yeah, Jan/Feb and the end of Aug thru September are the best months to visit, even if the hours are shorter.
