For those with A/C, what temperature?

I am just curious what other folks who have A/C keep theirs set at. I am not sure if it is all the years I lived in Europe without A/C, but now that we are back here I seem to always be cold and I hate being cold in my own house. DH thinks I am nuts because he claims to be hot, but a lot of times I have a sweatshirt on in the middle of summer.

DH has set the A/C to be 74 degrees during the day and 71 degrees at night and a lot of the time he is setting it down to 72 or 73 during the day. I don't mind the overnight temp because I snuggle under my blankets, but watching TV at night I am usually freezing in my own home.

77 degrees until it cools off here (around late November!) and then we enjoy saving some $$$ by not running anything and opening the windows on the nicest days. I think we needed the heater for all of two weeks last winter. The AC starts back up by March, but those 4 months before are a welcomed break.

65 for the AC in the summer
62 for the heat in the winter

We have it set to about 80 while we are out, 72-75 when home and 69 or something about like that at night.

78 - maybe 76 when we have people over.

even at 78 I still freeze!

We keep the heat at about 74 and I just wear sweatshirts etc and use a throw blanket.

78 during the day and 74 at night during the summer.

In the winter it's 70 if we are home and awake and 65 while we sleep. If we didn't have a bunch of reptiles to keep warm, I'd let it go to 60 at night during the winter. I love to be cool.

78 during the day, 72 at night......DD also always has a sweatshirt on :)

Ours is around 75. Once the temperature hits 78 in the house I can tell because I begin to get warm. It remains the same temperature at night.

DH is a HVAC contractor. Ours is set between 73-75 but usually at 74. If your temperatures don't seem right your thermostat may need to be calibrated. The next time you have your unit serviced ask the service person to check your thermostat.

We have ours set at about the same. When it's a 78 I'm fine upstairs but downstairs I'm cold. I wear a lot of long sleeve t-shirts in the house.

Usually 75-80 during the day....closer to 75 when we're home.
Usually 70-73 at night. I just HAVE to sleep with a comforter covering me so I like for it to be cold at night! Of course, I say that until I get the electricity bill!:scared1:

I'm glad to see others do what we do... We keep it at about 75 during the day & 70 or 71 at night!

We keep our between 75-78 during the day and at 80 during the night all year round.

72 during the day and night. DH likes it "artic" cold! Since he works nights and sleeps days we "have" to keep the AC at that temp during the day.

Our is usually right about 80 - day and night

We do bump it down and cool things off a little more if we have company - especially if they're out of town guests. Although when you're coming inside after being out in 105 plus temps. 80 feels downright chilly to me!
