"Also...staying one night at The Ritz-Carlton after Disney so we can go to SeaWorld for the first time!!"

Have fun at SeaWorld! We love it there. We did an add on last year to go to SeaWorld and we kept it a secret from the kids until the day we were checkiing out of our resort at WDW. We told them then that we weren't going home quite yet! Best thing we ever did!

I am so excited for SeaWorld! Our kids won't know about SW either...they will think we are headed to the airport instead of RC/SW...can't wait!!

We are from Maine also and will be flying out of Portland on Dec 5th thru 18th. We will stay offsite for the first week, then to PO Riverside. We orignally were booked for CBR, but added my husbands brother to the trip. I got to see Harry in a soft opening back in May, so I am really excited to go and see him again. I hope you guys have a great trip. I love hearing about fellow Mainers that head to the World.

dec 5-18th
3 adults 2 kids 7 & 4
7 nights dec 5-12th @ Sheraton Vistana = 139.00 (it's a time share swap out)
6 nights dec 12th - 18th @ Port Orleans Riverside
4 Day magic your way tickets x 5
Free dining plan ( Quick service plus) x 5 (total for dis = 2300.00)
Rental car for two weeks =230.00
Air fare via Portland x 5- non stop 1095.76
Universal tickets x 5 (3 of us upgraded our tickets last time so only need to buy 2 this time) =200.00

Grand total
$3964.76

5th person paying there way @ 700.00

So for just my family of 4 it's costing us =3264.76 for two weeks and one week of it has food payed for !!

I don't think it's too bad of a deal. We also had the Monster's INC pin but the free dining plan deal turned out to be a little better. When you consider using them for character meals, we did 1900 Park Fare last time and it cost 5 of us about 200.00 so if we do that again plus regular food for all 5 it will balance out. The price was 125.00 cheaper with the monster pin, but no free dining. I guess it's half a dozen with one and 12 with the other. Depends on if your family is a big bunch of eaters, and ours is. Have a great day and enjoy your trip everyone!!! :dance3:

Also eating at T-rex,Rainforest and Garden Grill paying OP for those and MNSSHP Tickets. I feel this is a very cheap trip for all we are getting. Love that Disney has prices for everyone so we can go every year.

Slight change of plans new package price

Maybe adding hoppers we don't usally add them but I think we may use them this time. Also my stepson lives in FL so he is meeting us down there now. So we need to get him a room only for a couple of nights.

Okay here is how I first booked it-----

Resort: AKL std view

Length: 7 nights
Dining:Basic Dinning
Codes: 45% pin
Park Tix: 7 Day Tx
DME: No
Airfare: Not included -
Travel Protection: Nope
Total: $2833

When Free Dining came out I was intrigued so repriced it with my oldest son as a 10 year old so that he could enjoy real meals as opposed to chicken fingers and Mac and Cheese. My oldest has refined tastes he prefers Steak and Seafood :rotfl2: So with the increase in ticket price for him because of the age increase my new package works out to.

Resort: AKL std view
Number of People: 2 adults, DS (10), DS (4)
Length: 7 nights
Dining: Free Dining
Codes: Free dining
Park Tix: 7 Day Tx
DME: No
Airfare: Not included -
Travel Protection: Nope
Total: $2873

For an increase of $40.00 but well worth it for my oldest son to be able to eat real food. My 4 year old he is still of the age that mac and cheese is a gourmet meal so no worries about him.

minus $900 in Visa reward points === Grand total $3728

What do you think? :confused3:confused3:confused3

Hi Flip!

I don't think you got ripped off (I ran your numbers using AKL, 2a, 2c, same dates). I think what makes your numbers look so high relative to many others is your hopping and WPF&M additions - that's $450 of your total. Not sure if you've been before, but with young kids, and that many days, I might consider dropping the hoppers and just enjoying one park a day, or even half day at a major park and the other half at the water parks. With 7 day tickets, I wouldn't spend the extra $$ to hop.

Also, many are not including their airfare in the total, so that makes your total look higher.

I ran your numbers using the 40% off code rather than the FD - not a huge difference.

I often think my numbers look high, but on closer inspection, many folks have younger kids, and once the kids hit 10, they're Disney adults, and the price difference reflects that!

Enjoy your trip!

9/18 to 9/25
FD
2 rooms at CBR
8 day ph/wpm

1st room 4 adults...$2800

2nd room 2 adults, ds 15, dd 12...$2600

I think this is my first post (edit...nope, it's my third!) as I usually just read (all day long whenever I get the chance at work!) but here goes....travelling with sister, each have our own room, split stay

first 6 nts at Poly garden view (mid October)
just me
10 day PH
deluxe dining
$3616.05 (gulp)

next 6 nts at BC standard view
just me
1 day base ticket
deluxe dining
$3149.13 (gulp again)

Since we remain 'pinless', we are really hoping for a general public room discount to be released because we also hit the black-out dates on FD...so if we continue to bat zero in our luck with Disney, we will be having to change to a moderate or value.

When- Novemeber 27-Dec. 4 (7 nights)
Who- 4 Disney Adults (me, DH, DD 13 and DD 11) and two kids (DD 7 and DS 7)
Where- 2 standard rooms at POP with FREE QSDP
What- 7 day MYW tickets, No insurance

Total- 2848.90 including taxes

Can't wait to be there right before the holidays!

8/15 - 8/25 (10 nights)
WL woods view (40% off) (no standards available)

WOW!!

I am looking at some of these posts and am amazed at the $$$$$.

My wife and I along with our two boys (11yr & 5 yr) will be staying at CSR in September.
We will only be there for 5 nights but are super excited about our 1st stay on Disney property.

I have been to Disney numerous times growing up, but since my Uncle has always worked there we always stayed at his house. He is now retired and as a early Christmas present to my family gave us (4) 4-day park hopper tickets.
He also booked our room for us and got his discounted rate for us. (I am going to have to take he and my Aunt out for a really nice dinner!!)

So after I paid for the room and taxes we are looking at just under $500.00

Now granted we are not on any meal plan so all the food and "extras" are not included in the costs. No airfare (just a 6hr car ride with both kids).

All in all, I do not think we could of afforded Disney this year without such awesome relatives.

I figure we would of been around $2,500.00 without my Uncle.
