WOW!!

I am looking at some of these posts and am amazed at the $$$$$.

My wife and I along with our two boys (11yr & 5 yr) will be staying at CSR in September.
We will only be there for 5 nights but are super excited about our 1st stay on Disney property.

I have been to Disney numerous times growing up, but since my Uncle has always worked there we always stayed at his house. He is now retired and as a early Christmas present to my family gave us (4) 4-day park hopper tickets.
He also booked our room for us and got his discounted rate for us. (I am going to have to take he and my Aunt out for a really nice dinner!!)

So after I paid for the room and taxes we are looking at just under $500.00

Now granted we are not on any meal plan so all the food and "extras" are not included in the costs. No airfare (just a 6hr car ride with both kids).

All in all, I do not think we could of afforded Disney this year without such awesome relatives.

I figure we would of been around $2,500.00 without my Uncle.

Hi cousin--which of our uncles did you say paid--cause I'm waiting for him to send me my check:lmao:

you can wait until you are there to upgrade - just to be certain you would need it.
we had PH last year and we only used it once. not worth the price for us.

Last 3 years been taking advantage of the free dining in Sept @ Pop even though I am a DVC member.

Booked Bounce back last year. And glad I did to get the DDP vs QSDP!

Hi again Flip.....not sure if you realize it, but you do not need hoppers to visit a water park on the same day you visit a major park. You DO, however, need hoppers to visit more than one major park in a day (MK, EP, DHS, AK).

Check the sticky on the Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies board titled something like "Everything you need to know about Passes". It's written by a WDW employee and (s)he's pretty clear about how the hopping works. If you decide you can do without it, that will save you over $200.
