can you help me out?

We're going in October and the Monday night we're there is a MHP, but it's also our DD's 11th birthday. I'd like to have an early bite to eat (4:30-5ish) and have a cake delivered for her. I had originally thought of Carnation Cafe, but we're eating there for Minnie's Breakfast anyway and I REALLY want to try the PPH's new buffet dinner.

Would PPH buffet serve us a cake or should I try for another night and keep my original plan for the CCafe do get the cake delivered?

Minnie's Breakfast is at the Plaza Inn, which is different than Carnation Cafe, so you could keep your original plan. The new buffet does sound cool but I don't know anything about whether you could get a cake there.

DOH! Of course it's different! I TOTALLY forgot!

I'm not giving up the Plaza Inn dinner on our last night - I'm aiming to try that chicken!

We're having a WOC lunch at WCT on the Wednesday so that we're not in DLR for the MHP we're not getting tickets to. That's my other DD's birthday, so we were going to have a late lunch/early dinner at Ariel's... but they have breakfast there with the Princesses too, right? Perhaps we can switch it up to a breakfast instead and then have dinner that night at PPH before WOC.

I'd check online, but my work computer has a hard time accessing the DL website because they use an older browser.

Yes, Ariel's Grotto features princesses at breakfast and lunch (no princesses at dinner - they do a WoC dining package instead).

Thanks. I think we'll do that then and skip the free breakfast at the PPH where we're staying. Do you think the buffet would deliver a cake for the dinner service at the PPH buffet?

I just called the Paradise Pier Hotel (714) 999-0990 and they switched me to Disney Dining (714) 781-3463. They can have a cake delivered to the PCH Grill buffet dinner. You can arrange it with Disney Dining.

Cake prices: 6" $34 10" $54

Just don't be surprised if no one saved room for cake!

Haha, I considered that same scenario, then changed my mind because I didn't want my guests to think I expected them to enjoy the birthday boy's cake after everyone just got done with a buffet dinner.

Another all you can eat restaurant that I have been thinking of for cake delivery is the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ, since their shared desserts are an extra cost anyway. The atmosphere seems like it would work well for a celebration if you're back a ways from the stage...

So I think we will go for Cafe Orleans or the Carnation Cafe in hopes that we aren't too stuffed by the end of the meal!

Have fun planning! Let us know what flavors and style of cake you end up going with!

My kids have never been too full for cake ;)

i'd love to do the BTRBBQ but neither of my kids like ribs  Totally not my kids...

I'm sure I'll take lots of photos of the cake. I'm also updating in my PRT thread when I have stuff to update.
