For those who think only DISers hate FP+, check their Facebook page

This is so incredibly late it's unbelievable, but the people whining about on on Facebook probably ARE Disers, lol.

Not possible. Facebook is some of that new-fangled social media computer hibbidy-jibbidy. Everyone knows that anti-FP+ DIS members fear change and wouldn't go near a technological advancement like Facebook.

All 900 or so of the whiners?

Haven't you heard? Nobody but a small minority of a small minority (the DIS) has ever held a negative thought about Disney. Anything that contradicts that is wrong, and probably manufactured by those same Disney hating Disney fans ;).

So far, 192,463 people have signed up to join the He-Man FP Haters Club.

We're really close to the upcoming earnings calls and analysts' calls for the completed quarter. We should expect some detailed questions around all of this - especially how off-site fits in and if purchase of FP's is in the future plans as an option. There's enough info and comments out there now (like this Facebook stuff) for the analysts to get very specific with their questions.

It's going to be a must listen...

And that is the truest post of this entire thread. Money doesn't just talk, it also listens.

Our "small group" here must know A LOT of people and spread our angst to them quite effectively. ;)

I literally thought that bit with the kids around the laptop at the end was going to go like this:
Kid 1: "Let's lock in that one"
Dad: Alright.
Kid 2: "Oh and that one."
Kid 1: "And that one."
Dad: Great.
Kid 2: "And that on-"
Dad: "NOPE! That's enough locking for you. Now, let's go wait in the 3 hour standby line for Peter Pan because we already locked in the Mountains! After we eat, we'll still have time to do an ENTIRE OTHER RIDE!"
Kids: 5 whole rides AND reheated pizza? YAYYYYYY!

(I have some faith that the new system could work with a lot less limitations- but the sketch writer in me couldn't help it...)

I can't complain too much about the ad because it has made me laugh a few times when I've needed a distraction from real-life. I'm trying not to annoy my family too much with questions like, "Do you want to lock in three slices of pizza for next Friday's dinner?" I don't think they find it as funny as I do.

They removed it from my Facebook news feed page. I wanted to read more comments!! I guess there were too many negative ones!!

They've hit some major milestones, like all resorts on MB's and FP+ up and running (mostly) in the Parks. So, time to start measuring... :)

Lake, I think they'd stated a 10-12% uplift in guest expenditure due to the Bands - so, you'd expect they'd ask when the uptick will start (gotta recoup the 1.5 bil+ sometime).

Since they've hit some milestones since the last call, do they give them a pass on the social media negativity?

While on the plus side: Disney really has done well having hordes of CM's in the Parks helping guests with FP+ and at the kiosks - if I was an Analyst focused on Disney, I'd want to know why that's necessary and how long it's necessary since it seems like a net increase in operational expense when it's been sold to do the opposite. They can't keep that up forever......

This! It has to be a contributing factor in the ever-growing budget overrun. That + you put behind the 1.5 bil is the first time a + has made sense in any of this. ;)

And welcome back from your trip to the Darkside. You've been missed. We like people who use symbols like % and stuff. :lmao:

Yeah, you know there are GANTT charts all over the place showing accelerated implementation and operational milestones (victory here! success there!) and the only way anybody could have ever gotten such an expenditure approved is to make some very large projections for returns. With all the extra costs they are throwing at this thing on top of the extra costs they've already incurred, the wolves are going to be extremely hungry.

I can't wait to listen to that call, it could very well provide the most information yet.

Here's another great comment from the recent FB entries:

"Waiting in line at Disney is half the experience."

Disney needs to post that at rides AND at the FP+ kiosks!
