For those who take your own stroller

we havent ever had a problem except for a cm moving it. I do take anything I consider valuable in with us though

We have always taken our own stroller and also have never had a problem with it being taken. Of course with the cm's moving them at times I've had trouble finding where it ended up. I do try to put something on it so that is stands out for easier location..

We've never had a problem with ours either, but it isn't expensive.

Actually, you may want to rethink the Mac purchase. I have one and I love it, but for Disney we stick with our $40 Century stroller. It doesn't fold quite as small, but it is very light. We love the large basket, the cupholders and the tray for the baby. It reclines and is more shady than the maclaren.

If you just want a nice umbrella stroller, then go for the Maclaren!

I frequent Disneyland quite often. It is one of my favorite places to stroller watch -- I admit, I am a stroller addict. Admist the sea of Gracos and Centurys, I see all kinds of "expensive" strollers. Last time, I even saw an E3 double!! I've seen beautiful prams, lots of Macs, Pegs, Combis, etc. While it is possible for your stroller to get stolen, there should be plenty of competition. For ease of travel and for using disney transport, I'm debating between bringing a Mac or my P3 to my Disney World trip. I feel comfortable leaving my stroller behind while on rides -- of course I never tempt fate and leave my keys and wallet behind. But I am willing to leave my stroller behind, it seems so impractical to lock it each time. I hear many more reports of strollers being broken by the airlines than I have ever heard of theft at Disneyland or Disney World. I am much more fearful of it breaking before I have a chance to use it on my trip!

Have fun,
Jennifer

for a toddler (2 +) then I think a Maclaren is a pretty near perfect stroller for Disney - easy to push, folds small, kids seem comfy in them - we took one for our eldest when she was 3 1/2 and 4 1/2 and it was superb.

for our new baby we prefer a slightly bigger stroller which reclines completely flat (we have a chicco 2002) but for older ones then a Mac is perfect

I tied several lime-green mickey heads (with "DIS" boldly written on them and laminated) to DGrD's stroller handles with wide, bright, lime-green ribbon. I made sure to tie them on with double knots (they stayed on and remained intact through the whole trip) - just a little extra "trouble" for anyone who might think of stealing - they would have to take the time to cut them off - and they were very 'noticeable' - made our stroller easy to spot - and as an extra bonus - I even met a fellow DISer who saw them and introduced herself! :smooth:

MosMom - thanks for the tip of writing our name on our rain guard with a Sharpie - the rain cover was great to have - but I did notice that very few people had them and kept commenting on what a great idea they were - we were there in Jan. and it kept the baby not only dry, but warm - once we came off of a ride into a sudden shower - we always left it on the stroller to keep it dry 'just in case' - nothing worse than a wet stroller to a dry baby !!!:(
