For those who put words on their walls,using a cricut,what mat.do you use?

I just got a cricut and I have seen where people will put sayings on their walls that were cut by this machine. What kind of material do you use that would stick like that? I know that the words can't be out of paper. :confused

I don't have a cricut, but they could be cut out of paper and stuck with wallpaper paste, couldn't they? Or maybe self-adhesive paper?

It is done with the Cricut vinyl. I have seen it at my Hobby Lobby. I think they have also been using something called Wall Pops (???) that they have bought at Lowe's or Home Depot. HTH!

Whatever vinyl you use (cricut or other brand), you'd want to make sure to get enough of the Transfer Tape. Basically, you cut out the letters/shapes on the cricut and put them on the transfer tape backwards. Then you peel off the paper from the back of the letters and line the transfer tape up on the wall. This is so everything lines up - there are grid marks on the transfer tape.

I would love to do this...has anyone done it yet? And do you have a pic to share? I'm thinking for my dd's room....the words Paris, Rome.....etc.

I am doing my boys room (they wanted to be together in bunk beds in the same room) in a Pirates of the Caribbean theme.

I just got a Captain Jack Sparrow Fathead (a life size sticker thing) and I thought it would be great to put "Yo Ho Yo Ho A Pirates Life for Me" above him! Anyone have thoughts on what font would be good for this?

Hope someone has pictures!!

shut up, no way!!! There is a Captain Jack fathead. Oh.my.word.

I have to have that! As for the font, I would probably do Jasmine, but the letters are thin so I'm not sure how well it would cut.

Yes...the Fathead is Johnny Depp as Captain Jack...he is full size! I will be honest...my kids wanted this for the room but Mom loves having a life size Captain Jack in the house!

You can go to fatheads.com or I got mine on ebay. A friend of mine has a daughter that wanted Troy Bolton from High School Musical so we bought ours together and got a discount. We ended up saving over $30 each!

Just FYI...they also have Will Turner but you just can't beat Captain Jack!!
