? for those who put Christmas decorations up before Dec 1st

We will put our decorations up this week. After Christmas, around the 26th we will take our tree down because it will be dead. We leave the rest of the decorations up until after New Years.

We usually put the tree up a couple weeks before Christmas and it gets taken down shortly after but the rest of the decorations go up Thanksgiving weekend or around there and stay up until Epiphany. I put lights up outside yesterday because the weather was just beautiful. I have to finish that job today, though. I haven't hooked anything up to the extension cords, etc. They won't get lit until Dec 1st.

Depending on my schedule I will either put the tree up as early as the Sunday after Thanksgiving or wait until the next weekend after that. I usually keep the tree up until New Year's Day. I like to keep it up at least a month because I have an extensive ornament and holiday collection that I only get to appreciate once a year, so I want to be able to enjoy it.
