For those who purchased through resale

I am in the process of making an offer on a resale contract and was wondering once you become a member what type of information do you receive from DVC?

A couple years ago when i was just thinking about it i remember getting a box with all this information and a booklet with all the points charts. Is this something that you receive yearly?

Since owners pay for all mailings, most would probably like to see them go away. We get a magazine a few times per year and we used to get a point chart book, I don't know if we still do. Both are available on the member website when it's working.

Initially you receive a letter with your member number added, this is AFTER you go through the whole process of resale purchase. Once you receive the letter you need to get an activation number for you sign on to DVC to "work", this can be obtained my calling MS. You also receive your member cards and a magazine as well as point charts approximately 2-3 weeks after your letter arrived. Good luck and hang in there if you decide to purchase. We are new members since August 2015, process took us 82 days from start to finish, well worth it in our eyes!

Some years we receive a points booklet some years we don't. I'd rather not all the information I need is online.

I know the Time Share Store (a sponsor on these boards) will send you a packet with loads of information if you ask them via e-mail. As for the points chart booklet, I do receive one in the mail. I prefer having the booklet, as I can carry it around with me or sit on the couch with a family member as we page through it comparing point needs for the different resorts. If you don't receive one, e-mail member services once you get your member number and ask for a hard copy to be mailed to you.

You can also usually get one at some of the DVC booths at the resorts and theme parks.
