For those who just got back?

Two questions:

1) What was the weather like in last few weeks? I know the weather can be crazy and I will pack both pants and shorts but how is it feeling as of now?

2) Tell me what are the best things to do and see in AK for people in their 20's? I find that park hard to get excited about but maybe it is because I don;t know where to go and what to see.

I got back a week and a half ago. The weather was delightful--cool mornings warming up to upper 70s/low 80s, in the 60s at night.

I love everything at AK except the Pocohantas show--WDW's second worst attraction, after Figment at Epcot.

Suggest the following: get there at opening, do the Safari, walk to Everest and fastpass it, ride Dinosaur while waiting for your fastpass, then Everest, then it's tough to be a bug.

Check the times guide for showings of Festival of the Lion King and Flights of Wonder, see when appropriate, fitting in Kali River Rapids if it is warm enuf to get soaked, and the nature walk in Asia--if you like it, then do the nature walk in Africa...tell me if you have as good a time as I think you'll have!

We got back a week ago today. We didn't need shorts at all, and in fact I had to buy a jacket for me and dd because I didn't want to go back to the resort between parks (AK to MGM for Fantasmic) Along with those choices for AK, we got the see the preview for Nemo, the Musical. Pretty good. I still enjoyed the "Lion King" more though. Better music. I would wear jeans, short sleeves, and take along a jacket everyday. We would get a locker when we didn't need the jackets for the early part of the day.

It was very cold Thanksgiving week - just got back (30/40s at night, 50/60s during the day - but it's much warmer now).
