For Those Who Have Stayed In The FW Cabins..

Do you cookout alot, ever? How much did you eat there? Did you find it comfy? We are a family of 4 and looking forward to staying at the FW Cabins in Feb. Curious as to what to budget each day for food considering we have the full kitchen at the cabin. Any thoughts, advice, suggestions are most welcome!! Thank you!!

do you have a car?

can you get to an off-site grocery store like Publix?

then I would think around $150 to $200 would be fine - unless you have expensive taste.

I have a very strange allergy - pepper - makes me very, very sick for 24 to 48 hours - so I don't like to eat out.

I loved FW cabins.

we didn't cook outside - but definitely use the oven and mircowave.

We've stayed in the cabins probably a dozen times and love them. We've cooked out a couple times. We've done take out pizza from the Trails End about once a trip and for $17 you get a huge pizza (it will easily feed 4). They also have pretty decent buffalo wings.

We also eat most breakfast's in the cabin. For a family of 4 that can save you $20-30 or more each day.

The things we love about the cabins it the relaxed atmosphere of the Campground, the extra space in the cabin and you don't feel "close" to your neighbors. The kids can be as loud and kid like as they want to be and you're not concerned about upsetting the neighbors.

When we stayed in the cabins, we bought tons of food to cook. We left tons of food when we checked out. We rarely cooked. We had sandwiches, cerial in the morning, and snacks. We did do a couple of frozen pizzas, yuck. It sank in early--we were on vacation, who wants to cook?

I'd plan on breakfast in the cabin--it's fast and cheap. Other than that, sandwiches and snacks.
