For those who have gone on Both cruises???

I was just wondering if on the Western Carb. cruise, is there a beach that is as beautiful as St. Thomas? My DH said he has heard so much about St. Thomas he really wants to go. We never made it there last Oct., as a hurricane that passed through really did a number on St. Thomas, so they weren't letting an excursions go.

We went to St. john on the Eastern and it was breath-taking, that said though, the water in Grand Cayman is the clearest/bluest I have ever seen. The snorkling was exceptional there. So seven mile beach would be a good choice I would think. Never made it to the beach there just the reef and stingray city.

Grand Cayman and Cozumel have nice beaches, but they don't compare favorably to St. John or even Magen's Bay in my opinion.

Of course, some will say a beach is a beach is a beach.

And to a certain extent, I can see their point.

St. John is unparalleled....

St John was beautiful. Very tropical and relaxing!

7 mile beach on Grand Cayman is very developed, lots of hotels/condos.
