UPDATE:
I called DVC member services today and they could not give me an answer. They suggested that I call the Annual Pass information number, which I did. The cast member confirmed that you CAN use the base ticket towards the cost of the discounted DVC AP renewal. You just need to do it through guest services.

Yes, you can! I did this last September when they had the free dining. I just went to guest services and the AP price just kept going down down down! What a rush! :rotfl2:

Cancelling the Dolphin ($139+) once we get our paperwork - I love the place but I can eat for free for the same $.

8/25-28, POFQ, 2 Adults, 1 child
1 day base
no insurance
$658.03

We are using our base ticket to upgrade to our DVC AP renewal. :teeth:

We already had ADRs at Prime Time and Boma, but we are going to look at our options once again. We are coming off of 9 nights of Disney Dining from BWV on points - I don't even want to know how much weight we are going to gain.

Listen, the way I look at it 7 miles per park walking = one full course meal anywhere :teeth:

When I switched my reservation over to the package with free dining, everyone in my party had already gotten tickets, and I'd already renewed my pass. I didn't mind buying a 1-day base per person, because it still was a huge deal for a 8-night stay (Pop - 2 rooms, 4 Ad 1 ch, $1729).

Will those 1 day tickets expire if not used? Can we keep them for another trip? Can they be donated to the local Boys/Girls Club in Orlando? Anyone know?

5 nights at WL (standard room) 8/19-8/24
2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant
5 day park hoppers
Free Dining
No insurance

$1856.71 :cheer2:

I've made a few ADR's but want to try some new places this time... I'm gonna have to check out the restaurant threads for ideas! So far we have:
Chef Mickey's Breakfast, Coral Reef & Concourse Steakhouse.

You have all really got me thinking! Does anyone know how long this offer is available? What was it like last year? Did the people who didn't jump on it lose out? I won't be able to commit to anything for a couple of days and was wondering if that would be too late.

Last year I booked our trip August 11th for Labor Day week and still got the free dining. However, it seems to have a lot more attention this year so I'm not sure if that will play into it. I also don't know when the deal actually came out last year either. :confused3

That's who I called..and they told me only on a new AP, not renewal. Another gal posted she called and was told the same as me. I wish they all read the same rule book!

I had already booked a package w/dining and called this morning to have the free dining offer applied. Here is what I got.

9 nights at CSR (standard room) 9/25-10/4
2 adults and 4 kids (all charged as adults) DS13, DD11, DD11, and DS 10
8 day park hoppers

4437.44 (I saved about $765 and added two nights to our stay).
Now I need to figure out where to make ADRs! :Pinkbounc

Disney845, Were you able to get the free dining for the days that you are there after 9/30? We want to go 9/30-10/7, but we were afraid that we could not get the free dining after 9/30. Thanks for your help!

Yes, as long as your trip starts within the time frame of the deal you are covered under the deal. Same thing as when you book a room during the changeover from value-regular season you can get the value price for the whole trip as long as your ressie starts during value season.

9/28 thru 10/4 - 6 nites at CSR, with free dining and waterparks and more and parkhopping option for 7 days for 2 adults...1456.32

Yeah me !!!!!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:  :Pinkbounc :cool1:

2 adults
ASMOVIES for 5 nights
6 day base tix
dining - no insurance
$869.96

Hey All! It sounds like some of you got some great deals!
I think we did pretty good too!
2 adults 1 child
Aug. 16-23 - 7 nights at POR water-view
Magic your Way w/park hopping + free dining of course
This price also includes airfare from Rapid City, SD
$3283.60
We were going to go in July over my DDs 5th birthday but we saved $800 by waiting until August.
With the dining package, we can do a character meal every day IF we wanted to (which would be a little too much character interaction in my DHs eyes.)
We will only have to bring some breakfast bars, juice, fruit and water and other than that, we shouldn't have to buy anything else except our souveniers.
I heard that we can request a free refrigerator at the moderate resorts now so we will be able to pick up some water botles to drink in the parks and keep them refilled for the next day.
i'm pretty excited about this late summer special. :yay:
