? for those who have been to Candlelight Processional. . .

Yesterday sunday 12/10 I got to the stand-by line at 3:30 for the 5 pm show and it was up to the wall right before it starts becoming a snake, and this was an hour and a half before the show.We got in, but it seemed 2/3 of the theatre was for the people with the dining package, so I felt bad since I don't think many or most of the people behind us in the stand-by line probably couldn't sit!

We were there on Wed 12-06. We had the dinner package and were eating at Germany at 5:05 for the 8:15pm show. When we took the boat into Germany, the stand-by line stretched all the way back almost to the Germany boat dock for the early show. When we left after eating dinner around 6:15pm, the stand-by line for the second show was almost as long as it was earlier. When we got into the dinner package line at around 7:45 pm, that line stretched all the way to China (OK, so that is only one country over from America - still it sounds more impressive to tell people we were in a line that stretched all the way to China and not be exagerating, haha).

This was during an "uncrowded" week based on everything else we saw, and the speaker was Brian Denehey. I can only assume that the crowd closer to Christmas will be worse, especially for someone more popular, such as Kirk Cameron. If you don't have a dinner package, I'd say you'll need to be back for the stand-by line no later than two hours ahead of time, and even then you might be stuck waiting for the second show.

As for package seating, we were told that all package customers are guaranteed a seat before any stand-by people are seated at all.

We were there this past week too and the lines were HORRENDOUS - just went on and on FOREVER - package or no package.. We decided to skip it.. It was so congested in that area of Thye World it was hard to breathe..

Canneswego,

The show is under an hour long, so if we attend the first show which is at 5:00 or 5:15, we have plenty of time to get to our dinner reservations.

As a note, we did try to get CP tickets but they sold out VERY early this year, sometime right after the 180 day mark. I called about a week after and it was no-go. According to sources, it may have even sold out the very first day they went on sale.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but for those with the dinner package how early should you get in line. We are going on Dec. 22nd for the late show and I want to know when we should get in line.

Thanks! :cool1:

We did the package for the 12/4 5:00 show with Mario Lopez. The standby line was huge and our line was huge as well. We got in the package line around 4:30. If you want to see the person get the cheapest package they offer to be safe. I wish Kirk Cameron was there last week but Mario was good. My mom is a big fan of his so I bought the package. I enjoyed the show and bought the CD as a souvenir.

Do you mean that even if you have the package, you might not get in???? That would really stink as we are going on Christmas eve.

:sad2:

No, I was told if you had the package you WOULD get in - my point is that LOTS and LOTS of people get the package, which leaves little room left for those who don't have the package.

Sorry for any confusion I might have caused.

Well I wish you luck...but keep checking there are people cancelling, I would think that the 1st show you would have the best luck 1)getting seats, and 2)making dinner...I had visions of you staying on line until you got in.
