For those who bought tix from Spirit...

We bought our tix for March several months ago. I was just on their website the other day and saw that our rates dropped. I called them and their phone rates and internet rates were the same. They issued us 4 vouchers for $24.50 each. Wow...that gives us more reason to go to WDW next fall!! So, if you have ressies coming up, give Spirit a call to make sure they did not drop the fare. If so, you will get a voucher.

I'm so happy you got a voucher, shelbyjosh...that is fantastic!!

We're flying Spirit in December and their fares have dropped considerably since I purchased my tickets. I called to see if I could get a voucher and Lola (my ever so UNfriendly Spirit agent) informed me that since I purchased my tickets over the phone I was not eligible for a voucher...even though the rates have dropped. I wish I couldhave gotten one...we would have gotten $120 total!!

Ok, Terri...let me get this right! You bought your tix via phone and not the web? I got ours over the phone and was able to get the 4 vouchers I mentioned. They actually use the same conf. code to hold those vouchers. They are valid for 1 year from the date I got the vouchers. I would call back and ask to speak to a supervisor. I have never had any problem with the customer service people. Must've been a bad day, but still no excuse. Good luck and let me know what becomes!

shelbyjosh....what kind of airfare rate did you get for March? I'm planning on making ressies for President's week with Spirit and I've been watching them so I knew some of the fares had come down. I've been holding out hoping they would come down some more, the vouchers are nice but we don't think we'll be able to fit in another trip within the next year. ~~

Our original price was $210 each. Now the rate is $185.50. We are going 3/13-3/21 and I did not want to wait. Figuring the rate was only going to go up, especially right before Easter, I got them right away. Plus, they are at the times we want to travel. I am one to get them early! Now we can plan another trip next fall!!!

Lovely Lola said I could not have a voucher because I purchased my tickets over the phone. That was all she said...followed by a very quick "Thank you for calling Spirit, have a nice day...click". This is the second time I've had a rude customer service agent from Spirit...maybe I just attract them for some reason!

Anyway, I was disappointed so my sister called again for me last night to see if she could work some of her magic. Basically, phone rates are about the same as when I bought mine. The difference was tiny so she just left it alone. But I am grateful that she tried for me...and that you posted about the possibility. Hopefully this will help others get a voucher and get themselves to Disney TWICE!!

My flight for my upcoming WDW trip has gone down 4 times since I booked it over the phone in Sept. The first 3 times I called and got a future flight credit no problem. Today I noticed that the flight went down again so I called and was given the spiel about since you booked the flight over the phone you can not take advantage of cyber specials. I am a little annoyed but I have racked up $132.00 worth of credit for a future flight, so I am not that annoyed. I have almost enough credit for a another flight for free!! But being the determined person I am, I plan to call again to see if I can get another future flight credit added since the most recent price drop! LOL!!!

I just got a rate of $175.50 (including all taxes) on NWA, non-stop flights for mid/late April. I think they were matching Spirits prices thru April 5th--which would even be cheaper. I would try them too. Seems like they are competative right now. Believe me, I am no cheerleader for NWA, but they have a few advantages. We have flown both Spirit and NWA; there are a few things we like better about NWA: there are several flights per day versus 1 flight on Spirit; more times to choose from; and if your flight happened to get cancelled, NWA can put you on other airlines--I don't think Spirit can. Beverly Lynn would know the anwer to that for sure.

Dee, that is correct. If you booked via phone, you are given vouchers for future phone bookings. I also asked if they could be applied to Syber Specials and she told me no. That's ok...we won't be making a trip down this fall (due to DH's bad hunting habits!!) but you can be sure next fall we will be going. March is not coming fast enough though! Good luck and keep checking those fares. BTW, she told me that the fare that is now applied to our trip is a "T" fare. We paid a "V" fare. She said T fare was the lowest they will ever offer.
