A questions for those of you who purchased a resale from the Timeshare Store....

I just rec'd my documents via fax from Timeshare Closing Services, Inc.

My question is this, has anyone paid the extra $45 for Special Priority service and do you think it was worth it?

By the why, we got 150 pts for June at OKW, they even had 128 banked points from last year. $70/point we split closing.

Now we can go and celebrate Halloween with Mickey, can't wait

We didn't pay for special priority service. Everything was complete within 1 month. We were closing in August and were not planning on using it until December. Even after calling in September we were able to get a 2 bedroom for the second week of December at OKW via the waitlist.

I say save the $45 and use it for your trip.

Congratulations and Welcome Home!!!!!!

If DVC has already waived the ROFR, it should only take 2-3 weeks to get things completed to the point of having you in the DVC system. What could you save, 2 weeks at best. That is if they're doing their part otherwise. The only way to expedite this is to use express or overnight type mail and to put your papers on the top of everyone elses.

I paid the extra fee and did not feel it expedited things in the least. I had to call a few times to follow up on things and we only closed 3 days prior to the anticipated closing date without the priority service! Save your money!

We purchased via the Timeshare Store in 2000 and it took four weeks to close. We did not pay the priorty handling fee. You should not have a problem.

The Timeshare Store is very efficient. They can pay me later!! Only kidding!! (smile)

Thank you everyone for your quick responses.

I am going to take your advance and save my $45, I can put that towards my soda mug on my cruise in August!

You guys are great!
