What did you spend, if you don't mind my asking!

We just got our tree today. We got a Douglas Fir and paid $49.99! I'd love to get an artificial, but DH doesn't agree. He says when the kids are grown and out of the house we'll get a fake tree.

So....what did you pay?

Fir - and I paid $58.00.

I love a real tree, but I was thinking when my children are grown I'll probably buy a really nice artificial one!!!!

We got ours today; a Concolor fir. We usually get a balsam fir, but this year, went a little different. It cost us about 70 dollars, but its also about 11 feet tall.

Not sure what it's called but just your basic tree and it was 30$. Best shaped and fullest tree we've had in while. They all looked good.

PS: I'm with your husband, no fake trees for us.

we actually went today and cut our own tree. got a really goodlooking fir for $80. It was a lot of fun though and worth the extra money

We paid $25.00 at our local tree farm for a 6+ft Concolor Fir. Mmmmm, smells like oranges!!

Callie Dumas

$20 for our NH Scout Fir :rotfl:

The local boy scouts set up a Tree/Wreath stand just 2 minutes from our house so we always support them.

I have no clue what kind of tree (not a Blue Spruce- I actually know what they are) we got but it is a nice full 8 footer at a good price!

Happy decorating all!

We went to the tree farm and got a 8 1/2 foot Frasier Fir for $68--Its pretty and made the house smell great, too bad it doesn't last---

I'm absolutely shocked!! Around here the cheapest, nice 7 to 9 footers are $70 and up!! We got a beautiful Frasier Fir, 9 to 10 feet and paid more than we ever have..... .$90.

We went to the tree farm today and cut down a 7 foot Blue Spruce. It cost $38.00.

Wow, we go cut ours down every year and this year they raised the prices (!) to $18!! We've always been paying $12 no matter the size. I wasn't aware real trees were so expensive!

We bought ours yesterday at The Home Depot for 39.99, it is a fraiser fir

We had gotten a 6-7 feet noble fir for $53.00.
I could not go along with a fake tree.

Free -- I hacked the most beautiful one right from our local park. Gorgeous! What?! You mean I wasn't supposed to cut that tree down?!?! What the h#ll am I paying all these taxes for, then!?!? Shhhhhhhh -- if you won't tell anyone, neither will I!!! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

No, seriously ... got ours at Home Depot. A balsam fir, about 6 feet tall for $29.00!

:earsgirl: Was going to buy a Frazier Fir which was $50.00, but saw a beautiful Balsam Fir close to it and it was $20.00, so just couldn't see spending the extra $30.

:earsgirl:

please everyone remember to keep your real trees watered .......every year there are accidents happening with trees that were to dry.

We got an artificial tree when our children were very young......My husband took a limb off our real one and he put it in the porcelan tub and lit a match.....the limb went POOF.....and was instantly fried.....scared me into knowing that our house and heating system was to much for a real tree.....so artificial now and this is so real looking ......it is hard to tell the difference

We got ours yesterday at a tree farm here in RI. It was a cut your own 8' blue spruce for $34.99....the hot chocolate was N/C ! The netting was an extra $2 but well worth it when trying to bring it in the house. It makes the room smell great.

BTW....anyone else own a "Santa's Last Stand?" The last christmas tree stand you'll ever own. It will support up to a 15' tree, but we never have one over 10.

I agree Pumba about keeping the trees watered. It's amazing how much they drink up in a short amount of time, and what a fire hazard they can become!

There are some beautiful real looking artificial trees out there, if only I could convince my DH!
