Hi,

I've been watching the prices go down and I bought through Expedia on 5/18 because the price had finally come down (they were really high for awhile) and my husband said "buy them!". Well, now, of course, the prices are coming down, down, down. Even though we're not going until Nov/Dec, the prices are already lower. Not as low as those going in the near future or September but pretty low!

Anyway, I've been wondering if I'll be able to get a voucher for the difference since I booked through Expedia (I only booked through them because they give you the discount on a child under 2 with a seat and you can't get that discount at the Delta website).

Since the fares are SO low today, I called Delta and asked. She said if the PHONE fare goes down, then I can get a voucher for the difference, but not if it goes down on their website

I'm still waiting, though, as we won't be going to WDW again (or anywhere else) till at least September of 2002, but probably November 2002.

I'm just posting this for anyone who might have used another website to purchase tickets and was wondering about vouchers.

Has anyone ever requested a voucher after purchasing from another website? I'm just wondering how it went.

Now, I have to use the Delta vouchers within a year of getting them, right? So if I get them November 25 of this year, I have to use them by November 25 of 2002? One year? What if my trip is November 16 through the 23rd. of next year, I can request a voucher this year by November 16? I'm going to hold out as long as I can to be able to use these voucher for next November.

Any help and or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hope I made sense and didn't ramble too much!
Thanks!;)

Sorry I don't have any help or advice, I just wanted to say thanks, though! I'm going to call Delta and see what they tell me. I am planning a family reunion for 14 people. (10 are flying) Some of the people did not get back to me for a couple of weeks, so I had to wait to buy their tickets. Guess what, they went down in price from the ones I bought 2 weeks earlier. I didn't want to wait to buy them, though. We are flying Thanksgiving day and I didn't want to take a chance of the flights being booked.

Thanks for the info, again! I'm going to call and see what they say!

if the fare goes down check with expedia directly. they can issue the vouchers. and you must redeem the voucher within one year from the date of issue. if its issued july 16th 2001 then you must redeem it by july 16 2002. but the travel can be for sep of 2002.

Oh, I see. So you have to buy the new tickets (with vouchers) before the expiration date BUT your traveling dates can be AFTER the expiration date of the vouchers? That's good news!

When I purchased the tickets, I asked Expedia about what I can do if the rate goes down, they told me I had to contact Delta directly and that I'd have to go to the Delta ticket booth etc...then today I called Delta (cause I saw the rates going down quite a bit) and asked if I can get vouchers even though I bought through Expedia and at first she said I should ask Expedia and I told her that they said to call Delta and then she said yes, I'd get a voucher but it would be based on the PHONE price not the website price.

I called Delta last night. They told me to contact Expedia. It's only $5 difference right now, but I'm going to call around after work today to see what everyone has to say.
