We are trying to get a group together for next year and part of my group is worried about the food they serve. They think that there won't be anything they like. What meals were included? How was the food? Was there a lot of variety?

We plan on staying an extra day or two to hit the parks and not interfere with scrapbk time? Did you have enough time while you were to go to the parks or did you add a few days and do the parks on different days?

Thanks for everything.

Calling BernardandMissBianca or HappyLady...where are you?

These two attended, they should be around to answer your question shortly.

Here I am!!!
Sorry, I was at school all day.
The meals that were included were dinner on the nights you paid to crop and breakfast Sunday morning. They used to have a menu posted but I couldn't find it but I believe there was a pretty good selection. Don't forget you can always make ADR's at Chef Mickey's, in MK, or anywhere on the monorail loop without wasting to much time.
We were only there for 2 days and of course I had to eat in the parks but we did have Sunday morning brunch and it was wonderful. They had fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, pastries, and I think home fries. They had orange juice, cranberry juice, coffee, tea, and milk. They might have had 1 more juice but I don't remember. We spent more time in the parks than scrapping but it was mom's first time at WDW. I'm hoping to go for the 4 days next year but it's DH's b'day that week so I don't know if he would be willing to watch the kids.
The room was open 24hrs a day so you can scrap any time you want to. Some ladies didn't leave the room at all. They brought coolers of food and some stayed in their pj's the whole time. I couldn't get in the mood to scrap, so I mostly wandered but we still had a good time.
Let me know if you need any more info.

what would the dates for next year be, I might have to plan my trip around it !! hee hee Thanks Michelle

The food this year was much, much better than last year. The entrees were a higher quality...not to mention the great desserts. One tip we would offer is to hit the desserts first, then get your entree. By the time we went to get dessert the tables were empty. The servers said that was it and no more was being brought out. We got a little "snippy" since it was only a half hour into the hour and a half dinner span. Later when we passed the room, more desserts had been bought out. Don't mess with women wanting chocolate! :rotfl2:

We've only ever gone to crop since we all live in South Florida. We all think that Disney in August is horrible due to the heat and humidity. We do usually try to hit Downtown Disney before the crop begins.

Hi everyone,
This sounds like a great little get away for me to do by myself. I've been looking for something short and sweet and this would be ideal.
What are your thoughts about a person going solo on a trip like this?
Thanks
Lesley :sunny:

Going solo is fine. I would suspect that they would have a few tables for other single scrappers. Besides the DIS'ers will keep you company! We met a lot of people there and in fact we had breakfast with a woman from Florida who was there alone and she had a blast.
