For those waiting on Jet Blue to extend their schedule

I recently had an issue on a flight with JB and I have been emailing them trying to get some resolution. The last email I got was 2 1/2 weeks ago so I replied again asking if there was any word on this because I want to get it resolved. I replied to the same email I had gotten from them with the whole story on the email chain below. I wasnt sure if it would go to the same person or not, but all the info was there below.

So I got a speedy reply from them saying...


Thank you for your email requesting information regarding the date our extended JetBlue flight schedule will be published. We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns.
We recognize that you are anxious to make your future travel plans, and regret any inconvenience the wait may be causing. Because we're busy adding new flights, new aircraft and new cities, we've been
keeping our schedules short term. We are trying to spare our customers the inconvenience of having the schedules change after they have already purchased their tickets.
As our Marketing and Scheduling Departments work together to coordinate this growth, our schedule date is extended and becomes available for purchase. We are not advised ahead of time a specific
release date for the new flight schedule, however it should be released by the end of the coming week. We encourage you to stay tuned to jetblue.com for the announcement; when the dates you are looking
for are released, you may book immediately online, or call us at 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583) and one of our Reservation crewmembers will be happy to assist you.
We value you as a JetBlue customer and look forward to jetting with you soon.


:confused: So at least I got an answer for you all who are waiting...the end of this week. BUT THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH WHAT I ASKED!!!! I must be the only person who hasnt asked that question so they just gave me the same old answer. Nice to know their employees actually read the emails they get. :rolleyes: Needless to say I replied asking for a phone number of a manager. :headache:

How did I know you were going to say this???????????? I don't even know what your issue is with JetBlue, but I know it's NOT the schedule extension - and if I, who've read no detail of your situation with the airline - can sense that, why can't JetBlue READ it and respond to your specific issues?
 
I got an email today - they are extending their schedule to jetblue members on Sept 5th.

kaytieeldr, Exactly! I'm already quite ticked off about the whole experience and now waiting a total of 4 weeks since I first contacted them, still with no resolution. Then to have someone, clearly not too bright, reply to my email like that just pushed me over the edge. Ironically, the reason we had an issue was becuase their employees messed up. I am not very impressed with how they are run lately. But Im still hoping I can come on here tell the whole story and say JB came through...but at the rate we are going, I'm not holding my breath.
 
Most larger companies have canned email responses that are automatically generated. My guess is that because they've been so late in releasing their schedule, they are assuming that everyone who emails is asking that question.

Your response back 'should' escalate your email to a real person and hopefully get a reply to you.

Sorry about your Jetblue woes CamColt, but REALLY nice to see you around, have not talked to you in forever
 
Still waiting for Jet Blue to extend their schedule....someone posted that it was happening this weekend....but no.....I called them and they do not even know!

Anyway, if you become a True Blue Member, they are suppose to notify you the day before.....still waiting and frustrated.:confused. :confused3

...fingers crossed they will extend their dates anyday now!!!!
 
I just checked my cc statement from last year, and we booked our April flights on Sept. 5. I really hope the release the new dates soon so I can book for April vacation.

Their current promotion says fare must be booked by 9/10 to get the special, so I'm hoping that means they will post the March/April fares on the next day (9/11):surfweb:

Hi Molly,
Last year the 4 of us flew down Sunday of April vacation and flew home that Friday. We paid $1778.00...ugh!! And the flight home was a connecting flight!!

We really want to go Saturday to Saturday this year...so we don't have to pull the kids out. Sadly the difference between traveling (for example) Wednesday to Wednesday prior to vacation as opposed to Saturday to Saturday could be as much as $2,000.00!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they have some good deals!!:thumbsup2
