how hot is it?? We're in NJ and the heat/humidity is horrible with a nasty projected storm headed our way.

:sad2: Thinking the pool is probably not keeping any one cool either with those temps?

You know you can check the weather online right? http://lmgtfy.com/?q=orlando+weather

;)

PS it's miserably hot (it was two weeks ago when we were there and it is even worse now). But the pools certainly help. :)

I trust online weather forecasts as much as i trust weather forecasters that call for sunshine while its overcast and raining out. ;)

We left Sunday and other than Saturday evening when it rained at epcot it was as hot as we've ever seen on a trip- and we go in June quite often.

The pool offered little relief, the water was very warm. We spent afternoons indoors!

It's hot. A lot more hot and way more humid than jersey.

Most days are in the 90's, then add in humidity

It was more uncomfortably hot and humid in PA on Sunday than during our entire June 8-19 trip to WDW. Yes, it hit 97 on one day down there, but it really wasn't bad if you kept moving, and not really humid.

After this past winter, I welcome the heat!

Being from MA I completely agree!

This is all anyone talks about - its Brutal Hot and Humidity - some of the CM talk about August can't be worse than this week!

I kept hydrated, I did the sunscreen, but I felt like I was going to pass out in AK! There is no a/c in AK, the shops don't even feel like they have a/c (doors open) and we ate at Yak and Yeti (I knew it would be hot, so felt this would be a good choice) it didn't feel air conditioned (door wide open to outside) It was, it was cooler, there was a slight breeze - but its HOT!

and you have to travel so far to go from Dinosaur to Safari - we left after lunch, its just too much!

MK doesn't feel as bad as there are so many places to duck in that have a/c, and so many queues are comfortable with air or a/c and attractions are closer together!

but its app 102 heat index factor, and the pools have been closing due to the lightening storms - the storms don't last long, people bring umbrellas and keep touring! We are on vacation after, we make it work

OH _ and if you are a sweater (like me) Do invest in those frog togs (I've seen them at sporting good stores and I think QVC or HSN sold some too) I've seen parents and kids that have them, you get them wet and stretch/snap them and they are supposed to help cool you off. Plus for me, I wish I had one to catch the sweat besides napkins!

I agree. We were there all last week and the heat bothered me more than it ever has, eventhough we usually go in summer. After lunch, we just wanted OUT of the parks. Even the pool was hot unless you were all the way under water. We ended up spending all the afternoons in the room.
Supposedly a cold front is coming in this weekend. Maybe it will cool things down a bit.

That was the craziest storm I have ever witnessed here in NJ! I was at a red light and a tree fell right in front of my car... it JUST missed me! I was so scared. Tornados ripped through our towns. Trees are fallen everywhere and most are without power.. Hope you are okay!

We've had nothing here - have been wondering what happened to the storm and if it's still coming. How scary for you though - glad your ok!!

It's summer in FL so heat, humidity and rain would be expected.

We expected it to be hot and humid but this last week was just beyond any June trip we've ever made.

We had a wonderful time but we had to make adjustments like morning swims rather than heat of the day, earlier out of the parks and later to go back in.

My hat is off to anyone who could do open to close last week! Saturday evening at Epcot was pure heaven as the rain finally broke the heat.

OP We have sticky at top of page on Just Back and Live reports.I understand your concern about temps here now but since you didn't ask for those at WDW now,I will let your post stay. You can get up to 10 day forcast at many weather links on the web.Wish you a great vacation and safe trip to WDW. Danny

I have a friend there now. She just arrived yesterday. They had storms last night and she said that SAB at BC was like bath water. We have made MANY summer trips but I can't remember heat like what has been and is there now when we have gone in the summer. Last week another friend was there who also goes in the summer a lot, said this was the hottest she remembers it being. They stayed at the Yacht Club and used SAB too and said the pool NEVER felt cool the entire time to them.

It's been very hot lately. Much hotter than "normal" even for Florida weather. I know each day they say we (Orlando area) are well above average temperatures for this time of the year. Right now it's cloudy, 87 degrees with 90% humidity. High for today without the heat index is supposed to be around 92 or 93.

Pretty much the same for the rest of the week here. Low to mid 90's. High humidity and overall about a 50% chance of rain every day.

Translation: It's summer in Florida

This is why us Floridians avoid going to the parks from May thru sept. It just gets too hot up there in the summer. No breeze and super humidity. We only go to the parks from Oct thru March.

This may be a stupid question. I know disney heats the pools in the winter. They turn them off in the summer, right?

That's funny on the pool heaters :) :)

We still go to the parks even in the dead of summer. Though it's not for extended periods of time. Either early, early in the day or later in the afternoons. Very rarely do we do an "all day" deal in the summer months.
