After reading the post below about stroller naps vs. naps at the room, I was curious to find out from those of you are stroller nap pros where are the best quiet places to take the stroller away from the crowds/noise??

My DD has only ever stroller napped at WDW (at age 16mos and at age 26mos). This year she will be just over 3 years and I'm sure she'll still take a snooze at the parks!

I'll go first....last year I found the walkway between Toontown (along the train tracks) down to Space Mountain a nice quiet place to stroll while she napped, also at AK we were lucky enough to notice that Dinosaur was not working, so we walked around to the exit and sat there outside the ride's exit.......SO quiet! Last year we stayed at the VWL and I found the bike/walking trail to Fort Wilderness to be empty and very peaceful!

I'd really like to hear other places you have discovered for more peaceful stroller naps.....please share!!:)

Hmmm, I guess we are horrible parents because we just kept walking around!

:rotfl:

We've always done the same, maybe that's why my kids quit naps at 24 months!

We went the whole extra step though, my kids stopped sitting in strollers completely (yes, even in WDW) after their third birthdays!

Nope, not mine. Dd is 6yo and in first grade now...she was taking THREE hour naps up until the July before kindergarten!!!! We had to wean them off of them that last month before school started!

Ds turned 2yo while we were at WDW in December. He either napped in the stroller or in the Beco carrier that dh or I carried him in. When ds was in the carrier...dd was usually crashed in the stroller!

When DD was 3, I sat in that Mexican Restaurant across from POC. It is only open seasonally, so it was empty. It had ceiling fans and was nice, cool and dark. DD slept for 2 hours while DH and DD6 rode Splash, BTMRR, the train, etc. I just sat there and ate lunch, people watched, reviewed touring plan, etc.

our youngest didn't stroller nap much- but on the last day he was knocked out- we went on Splash Mountain and BTMRR while my mom who couldn't ride the rides sat with him. They sat in the shade next to where the ice cream cart is- there was a nice breeze and he slept until AFTER we got off the monorail- then he was mad that he left the Mouse.

I deliberately avoid "quiet" places because I think some of the noise acts as "white noise."

My husband is a singer, and whenever his band :rockband: would play "family friendly" gigs at festivals and such, I would take the kids, and our babies would sleep right through it! However, at home... open a soda pop can, at the opposite end of the house from the sleeping baby, and... WAAAAAA!

I do move to out of the way places, so others won't bump into the stroller, as this usually wakes them. There are lots of great spots to sit and people watch, and I have my husband bring me a treat, before he and the other kids go off on some rides.

Wishing I was there right now.

When my children were napping this was a great time for us to go shopping! We would look at all the items in the gift shops that we were interested in.

Well, we tried just walking around, but she's such a light sleeper that every little noise seemed to make her stir! Don't get me wrong, I know WDW is a noisy place, but I know there are some places that are a little less noisy than others. ;) I envy those of you who have kids that will sleep through a parade!

I'm just trying to get "quieter" ideas for our trip in July! Keep them coming!

When dd would get tired we would ride the train around :) we got to see things and she could stretch out! if it was really hot we would shop! :) or watch the hall of presidents :) or the carousel of progress! also the people mover is great for a quick toddler nap!
