For those that just traveled for Feb Vacation week

How bad were the crowds for Feb. vacation week..(mid feb), we are going to So. Ca next year for feb vacation, and i want to spend at least 2 days going to DL and CA park.. We are staying in Newpt.Beach, so not that far.. just wondering on crowds.. obviously , during the week is better than weekends correct? Is early week best?

Your best bet is mid week!! We were there this year on the 8th and 9th, Thursday and Friday and it was fabulous!! The closer you are to any holiday such as Presidents' Day, the worse the crowds will be! Wed and Thurs are my favorite days there!!

Hey, I was there too! Feb 5-9th. Monday was absolutely dead. I didn't have to stand in line for any rides for more than 5 minutes, and most of the rides, including POTC and Space Mountain, were walk-ons! Tuesday was pretty much the same. Wednesday started picking up a bit, and the crowds were really noticeable on Thursday and Friday, but everything was still manageable. So I'd definitely recommend going in mid-February.

I was there Feb. 17 - 24, so the actual President's Day week. Ugh!! It was very crowded, even Wednesday (the 21st) was very crowded.

Of course I didn't realize schools were out that week (silly me, I pulled my kids out), so I was expecting light crowds and went with no game plan. Maybe if you follow HydroGuy's plan you'll be fine. Of course, I found this site AFTER I returned, so it didn't help me. Plus there was rain predicted some days, which made the non-rainy days busier. The worst day was the Sat. before President's day. Wow! Felt like summertime. Hope that helps in your planning!
