For those that fly out of MSP

I am a little mad right now, but I still want to share the possiblility of you saving some money.

Here is what is up. I have been watching Sun Country flights for June and the price was "fair". I knew Sun Country offered a buy 2 get 3rd free code in the St Paul Winte Carnival button last year. I faxed the carnival people 2 weeks ago to see if SC would be doing that again this year and had not heard from them. I didn't actually think they would respond, but it was worth a try. Getting impatient, I bought my tickets Monday for 206 each taxes included.

Guess what.... the carnival organizers called me today and said YES, Sun Country will be offering that code again. I am so bummed... I could have potentially saved $200. The button goes on sale Dec. 1. I called Sun Country and the tickets are non refundable... so I am out of luck.

Here is where others come in. Buy the button after Dec. 1 and you will be able to get the deal stated above.... I have now learned my lesson.... and hopefully helped someone save.....

Wow - that's a great deal even without the carnival button! We already purchased our Spring Break tickets for $333 each on Sun Country (including tax).... Prices have only gone up since then so it may not have been worth it for us to wait but I will remember this in the future.

The button does say there are restrictions. You have to call Sun Country to find out when they are, but I am guessing spring break is one of those times. We originally were shooting for spring break, but our flight dates have already sold out.....

Oh, I'm really sorry it didn't work out for you, Duds. That's great info, though. We always get buttons but I don't pay a lot of attention to the "perks" that come with them.

Maybe there's yet another trip in our future!
