For those taking I-75 to WDW---important link

My question is how backed up does it get before you can exit at 27? We get off there to get to our rental house in Clermont and I'd hate to be stuck in traffic because of the ripple effect of the narrowing down to one lane each direction.

Anyone have any experience with how far the backup goes?

You'll be forced off the Turnpike southbound at exit 285 onto Route 27. With what I understand, there's been a slight backup at the tollbooths, but nothing more than a few extra minutes. Have a great vacation!

Whew, glad I came through on the 13th :-)

Just got back last night.

Took the detour the evening of the 18th and the afternoon of the 23rd.

It was easy to follow and saved lots of time.

At one point, we were running parallel to the turnpike and could see the back up.

If you see the blinking detour signs-----take it!
