For those on the WWoHP Package arriving before June 18th

We are arriving June 5 - 11, and booked club level at PFB hotel under their special giving various percentages off (in our case 40%) AFTER the announcement of the June 18 opening. I did see one earlier post in one of the threads on this board where someone said that they would be letting in all on-site guests, including those who booked after the announcement, into WWoHP. I have seen no other posts either way except for that one regarding on-site guests who booked after the announcement. That would be great news if true for my GF, we are going to celebrate her birthday. Can anyone confirm or deny if they were generally letting on-site guests in or only those who booked after the announcement in March. Thank you very much for any responses.

As of right now Darkestsong, it sounds like they're planning to let in ALL on-site hotel guests during the 2-hour morning preview.

If the preview is extended or the time changes, I'm sure you'll hear about it or can ask at check-in, or we'll have that info here on the boards.

Wonderful news, my GF expects me to work magic and get her in, and this way I can be a hero without trying. :)

If so, I would think people will rush to buy those packages as well, they are a great deal.

The packages can't be booked earlier than June 18th now. On-site rooms, however, can still be booked.

Sorry I mispoke, I mean the room only special they are running, the Stay more, Save more one.

There are only a couple thousand rooms on-site I think. Even a couple of hours a day, with the lower crowds it would be worth it I think until the crowds thin. If they really are letting all on-site in it is a way people could still book at this late date and still get into the preview.

For what it's worth, here was the process this morning. IoA started letting guests into the park at about 7:45am, but only if they showed their on site room keys. Nothing was required to prove you had the HP package. We were allowed as far as Confisco's until 8am when everyone was escorted back to WWoHP. At the point we entered the area, we were told it that the area would only be open until 10am, at which point we would have to leave. Keep in mind, the only people allowed in at this point are people who specifically purchased a WWoHP package - and plenty of people were upset to learn this (including me).

With that said, it turned out we were able to experience everything there in the two hours allotted, which kind of surprised me. Then again, there wasn't a huge crowd there either, so that certainly helped.

I'm reserving full judgment on the area until I can spend some more time there. The theming is a amazing, lots of good reports on Forbidden Journey (the queue is like nothing I've ever seen before), but honestly - I'm not sure this is going to live up to the hype.

So let me understand you correctly. Everyone including on-site guests are let in to IOA at 7:45am, but only WWOHP package holders are let into WWOHP?

yep, what he said! On Site Room Onlies were excluded at that point?

allowed "in" to WWOHP? FJ? Sorry to be so anal, and I TRULY appreciate everyone taking the time to post during their vacations...this is just so wonky.

No, everyone who showed up for early entry had to show a resort room key as well as their admission media. At no time did I have to show anything that said I was on the HP package - a room key was all it took.

We never saw that today - all I showed anyone was my room key. I had my paperwork showing I was on the WWoHP package just in case, but it never became an issue.

Pete, would you have finished everything if you'd waited for FJ also?

Yes - three of the four of us went on FJ (I just went thru the queue line - I'm going to actually ride it tomorrow). The queue is an attraction unto itself and should not be missed, and the ride itself is surprisingly long (over 4 minutes is what I heard). With small crowds, this entire area (including the three rides) could be seen completely in about 2 to 3 hours. If your eating at the Three Broomsticks, perhaps a little longer.

Good news. I had text messaged my GF before your post that we should get in and thought I was going to suffer long and hard for having to backtrack.

Everyone should keep something in mind here - Universal is taking disorganization to a new level with this. There were CM's at the front of the park this morning who had no idea anyone was going to be let in to WWoHP. There were CM's telling people it would be open all day, and CM's telling people it would be open for an hour. This all took place inside of 45 minutes (I'm not kidding). No one knew what was going on (at the hotel or the parks). I'm hoping that tomorrow will be a little more organized.

From what I'm hearing things are going to change day by day. Tomorrow this could be a whole different story. I'll post what I find out as I'm here until Monday.
