Can any one please give me an idea of the total price for a group similar to ours:
2 adults and 2 children
Moderate resort
DDP
For 7days
:teacher:

I realize prices are up from last year but it should give me an idea should Disney offer this promotion again.

If prices are pretty good, maybe DH will say yes to another ticker!

Thanks to all!:flower3:

You can go to the Disney website and put in the information just like you were booking a trip. You need to price a 4 day trip and that would be the cost of your 4/3 deal.

The 4/3 deal never includes dining, so if you plan to use a dining plan add it for all 7 nights to get accurate pricing.

Just price out your trip with passes for 4 nights. If the promo is offered again that will be the price for 7 nights.

I had forgotten that DDP was separate. Thanks for the reminder!

4/3 includes room and park tickets for total of 7 days though, right?

Last year I booked the 4/3 deal at POFQ (standard) for 2 Adults and 2 children (ages 11 and 3). The price with quick service dining was $2187.35. If you want to count the $200 gift card (which I am using for this year's trip)the cost was $1987.35. As I recall the regular DDP would have been about $230 more.

So just to clarify cuz I'm a little slow on the uptake here with the 4/3 deal....

you pay for 4 nights rack rate at your resort and 4 days of park tickets? Can they be hopper tickets? And the tickets will be rack rate too since you can't order from a broker right?

Thank you.

Right, you pay for 4 nights rack rate at your selected resort. You also pay for a 4 day base ticket through WDW for your package. You can add hopping to your ticket, but you will pay $52 for that add on. They do not prorate or otherwise give you a credit for the hopping.

Thank you Sandi, that's what I thought. This would be a nice savings for us if it comes to pass.

I see you are a Sparty! I am a Wolverine but my sister, niece and most likely my oldest daughter (graduating this coming spring) are or will be Spartans too! I loved it at the MSU admissions meeting when they brought Sparty in to meet the prospective kids and announced him to be "the buffest mascot in all of college sports" :rotfl:

Go Blue! Go Green!

Can you get the 4/3 as a room only deal or do you have to buy the package with tix? We are new passholders, so I'm curious . . .

Also, we are planning on staying 9 nights. If 4/3 is offered, this means we pay for 6 nights and get 3 free?

The 4/3 deal was only if you booked a Disney package. It did not work for a room only. Yes, that means pay for 6 and get 3 free.

Don't get too excited about the 4/3 deal though (unless you have some inside info) ... 2009 was the only year it was offered, so there is no guarantee that it will be offered again.

For those going for 7 days, it was a good deal; however, any longer or shorter stays not so much because there were room-only discount codes that would save about 40% on rooms.

We went in March for 8 nights (2 adults, Value). I split my reservation to 4/3 and then 1 night using the 40% off the room (saved $40). Had we not gotten the $200 gift card, I would have just used the room-only code as we didn't need tickets but were required to buy at least 1 day tickets to get the deal.

In 2009 there have usually been room-only discount codes offered along with some other type of offer. You really need to crunch the numbers using different scenarios to see where you get the biggest cost savings.

HOWEVER, if the economy starts to improve you will see some of these discounts dry up.

Good points. I have been number crunching and assuming I am doing it correctly (:lmao:) it seems that a 40% off room only code and buying tickets from a discount broker would be a little better savings than the 4/3 deal for me.

We traveled the Feb. after 9/11 and had a 40% room only code which we used at the BWI, it was great. Travel was so slow then that WDW had reduced park hours but since the crowd levels were low it wasn't a problem. I think that was during the time of no emh too, we had "Character Caravan" in the resorts. Which we liked because our kids were big time into characters then. Interesting tidbits....:)

Check out today's rumors - looks like there might be a 4/3 deal again. Hold on to your eye patches and tiaras!!!

So what if the 7 days you have booked fall where there are two different nightly rates...for instance when the weekend rates go up. How do you calculate the rate to be paid? Is it the total rack rate for all 7 nights divided by 4? Just need a little more help with the calculation...

We were there this past Easter and took advantage of the 4/3 deal. Our total was $2679.88 for our Disney package. We stayed at Coronado Springs (moderate) and had the table service dining plan. We had 2 adults and 2 kids to pay for....our DD was only 2, so she was free. We checked in on Saturday, April 11th, and checked out Saturday, April 18th for a total of 7 nights. We bought the 8 day MGY + PH option (we only had to pay the extra amount to go from 7 to 8 days....wasn't much...no more than $15 to add the 8th day). I don't remember how much a PH cost to add onto a ticket last year, but we had 4 of them if you know how much it cost, you could take that amount away from our total. I think it was around $50 per ticket for a PH, but I don't remember for sure. The 4/3 deal was a huge savings for us. We orginally were going to be staying at Pop Century, but we were able to stay at Coronado Springs for less than what we were going to pay rack rate at the Pop.

From another thread, I read that this year's 4/3 deal will not include tickets...but I don't think that is too big of a deal for me. I priced it out for our family of 5 (our youngest DD will be 3 when we go back...darn, I loved getting her in for free!) and it is less than $50 more to not get the 3 days of tickets for free...but if I were an AP holder this would not be a great deal.

Good luck and happy planning! :cool1:
