Hi! I was thinking about having mickey ears as favors. I was wondering how much they cost? Did you get any sort of discount because you bought them in bulk??? thanks
Unfortunately, there is no discount for buying them in bulk.
You can either buy them through your Disney Floral Event Manager or buy them on your own. Buying them through Floral is pricey, but easy. They can have the ears embroidered and everything. Or you can buy them on your own at Downtown Disney or the parks and pay to have them embroidered there.
There are also some Disney park shopping services, like the Laughing Place Store, that will pick them up for you, but this is also pricey b/c they mark them up to cover labor.
We lucked out because we live near Disneyland, which doesn't charge to embroider names on mouse ears, and we had a 20% off coupon for Annual Passholders. DH just went down one day with a list of all our guests' names, bought 35 pairs, and played at Disneyland for a couple hours while the hat shop worked on them.
I actually lucked out...I went to our local Disney Store. Unfortunately (I just about died when I heard) they are closing. They have Disney Store Mickey Ears with just a sticker on the front of them. I was able to get enough for my entire guest list that will be going to Disney for our wedding. We can steam the sticker off and the best part...they were free. I would check with a Disney store and see if they can help you out
The hat shop on Main Street in the MK used to charge $2 to embroider, but I believe they have changed their system. If you are an AP you can get them for 10% off at World of Disney. I lucked out with my brother's seasonal CM discount of 40%-- if you can find a CM between November and February, that's the cheapest way to buy them!
It's new machines, and I don't like them because they don't have that personal touch, but it's only 3$ for the name now. But if you go to studios or DTD (christmas store) where they have a fancy machine, it's 8$. And those two are also outside companies.
