For those of you who have flown since Christmas...

I'm heading down to WDW on Saturday. I haven't flown in over a year, so I"m not sure how much the Detroit airline attempt is effecting security. I'm flying out of Albany, so it's a fairly small airport and we're leaving at 4:00 pm. Did you notice huge differences in security and screening? How early would you recommend to get there? I'm just trying to find out what people have experienced first hand.

We flew three days after Christmas and noticed absolutely no difference in the airport security at IAH.

No, US domestic 'security' is still the same - just theatre (and not even GOOD theatre! I enjoy a good performance of Shakespeare but this isn't that great) . I flew several times this month from major US airports on domestic flights and it was definitely the same as always.
