our travel days have changed & I am suddenly trying to get some last minute ADRs.

I have been trying for 3 weeks to get Chef Mickey dinner meal for mid August - no can do - if there are cancels, I am not finding them

I settled for a LTT dinner with split tables, but I am sad

I was able to get Ohana breakfast, but we wanted Chef Mickey more

I asked the CM on the phone if they book all tables with ADR or if there are a fair amount open for walk-ins. She said she didn't know - how could she not know?!

Anyway I am wondering if closer to our vacation might my chance of getting a cancellation opening get better as people make their final plans? Perhaps I am too optimistic...

last minute ADRs. Diners cancel for various reasons.

They do book all tables through ADR. You can see walk ups turned away quite often in high periods.

One bright note - LTT dinner is sort of an iconic character meal. The character part of it will cease to exist next January.

Keep calling! I am a self-confessed Disney Dining line "stalker":rotfl: , but I call whenever I have a free minute (Right now, I am a SAHM, so that makes it a LITTLE easier......)and by doing so, I have been able to make 4 new prime spot, prime time ressies this week for our mid-Sept. trip. If I call and feel like the CM didn't actually look, I call back, sometimes 3-5 times a day. They are always very nice, and I would lay odds that if you can call frequently, something will turn up! I figure their job is to check for ADRs- what do they care if it is me calling for the millionth time or someone new?!

I would keep calling up to and including the day you want to go as people cancel all the time. Don't give up hope yet because you never know when something might become available ;).

I have called 24 times (yes, I have made a tally sheet and keeping track of how many times I call ! and because I am sooo weird.. I have kept a list of who I have spoken to!! :rotfl2: . I am determined to get into Liberty Tree for Thanksgiving :scared1: ! On my 13th call... I did get into Chef Mickey's two hours before our last reservation (we were originally scheduled at 9:25 pm and I got in at 7:35), so that does give me a little hope that I might make it in to LTT.

Keep calling ... everyday... when you can.. couple of times a day. One CM told me that I might have more luck the closer I get to my date.

Good Luck :wizard: and Happy Calling! :flower3:

Don't give up hope! I have been trying for 4 months to get a breakfast ADR before park opening at Tusker House. Finallly this morning I got it!

If all else fails, be at Chef Mickey's the moment they start serving dinner. There's a chance they will be able to seat you.

We did this at breakfast in May. Couldn't get an ADR up until that morning, just decided to show up (wasn't even at opening- we showed up at 9:15am)and we were seated within 5 minutes. We also did this at dinnertime on a previous trip.

Keep calling. It sounds like you have a large party because you mentioned split tables. Large parties are more difficult to get ADRs for because of the limitation of larger tables. Good luck!

Any interest in CM lunch? They are offering it for selected dates throughout the summer.

Keep calling! I know it's discouraging to be constantly told "no", but you have to try! Seriously, I snagged a CRT breakfast a month out... I had the day off and was out imbibing an adult beverage at the time and had randomly decided to use my cell and give it a shot. Nearly fell off of my bar stool when the CM said she had something available! The bartender (a friend of mine) started laughing her heinie off at the look on my face!

I hope you get what you're looking for... good luck, and good vibes to you! :goodvibes

Do not give up hope...I have been calling for well over 2 months to snag a mama melrose fantasmic package on sept 8th...I just called and BINGO!!! I had to take a 3:40pm (really early for us) but I think we can deal with it...now the race is on to see if I can snag a later one...I live such an exciting life :lmao:

Keep trying!

Just last night I cancelled several days of plans (14 day trip shortend by 5 nights) :sad2: and while they did not include CM dinner, there was CM lunch, CRT breakfast, Coral Reef dinner, and more.

Today I tried to re-arrange our park days (due to cancelling our three scheduled days at the Water Parks & Disney Quest) so this morning I cancelled Sci Fi dinner, Turf Club dinner, WCC dinner, and CP dinner.

I started out (180 days + ADR's with everything I wanted) and now have a mess... hardly no desired ADR's left/available (with the exception of my 1900 FP, 50's PTD, CM Breakfast, Ohana dinner, and Le Cellier dinner).

I still have to make three ADR's and am hoping to somehow get a CRT breakfast back (looooong shot I know) and a Coral Reef dinner back (another long shot). A girl can dream, can't she?! :rotfl:

I am going to just keep calling daily and encourage you to do the same! :goodvibes People have things come up... vacations get cancelled, plans change, schedules change (as in our vacation) so many good ADR's get cancelled as well!

Good luck! :wizard:

We booked our first disney trip during the week of free dining - but of course without the free dining (didn't realize until recently) so ADRs were hard to come by but thanks to the advice on these boards I am slowly but surely getting them!

So don't give up - keep trying as often as you can. Something will come through.

I have! I just booked my trip last Thursday or August 25-Sept 1. I kept calling for ADR. Really wanted Supercalafagalistic bkfst for five. Nothing, nothing, nothing. Called 20 minutes later and got an 8:30am!

Also kept trying or chef mickeys. nothing. nothing. nothing. Then got a 12:45 lunch.

Keep trying!!!!!

Keep calling . . . every day . . . several times a day!!! :goodvibes We were at WDW the week of Thanksgiving last year (very busy time!!!) and I called for 3 months for an ADR at CRT on my daughter's birthday (day before Thanksgiving) and got it 3 DAYS before we arrived in Orlando on my 3rd call of the day! :lmao: They probably just gave it to me so I'd stop calling them! :rotfl2: Anyhoo, point made by myself and all other pps is not to give up - even keep calling once you get there if you have to. Good luck!

Don't give up! :thumbsup2 Keep trying a few times a day if possible. Post on the wanted/trades/cancelled ADR boards, I have got several ADR's from the boards, including a Le Cellier dinner ADR :yay:

Keep calling as many times a day as you can... I got a LeCellier reservation for September 29 at 5:55 pm yesterday. Most people say those are like pulling teeth to get. I told the lady on the phone my travel dates and that I would take anything, and thats what she had.
