For those of you who got the latest 40% offer...

We're going November 26 to December 6 and staying at POR. This will be my 5th trip for this same week. Our family loves Christmas. Going to Disney this time of year just makes Christmas more magical. The decorations are beautiful and puts you in the spirit for Christmas.
We are thinking of going around that time as well & staying at POR.
Did you book room only or a package? May I ask if you used a code and if so what your nightly rate is?
Thanks!

Have you stayed at any of the EPCOT resorts before? Do they feel really far removed after staying at the POLY? I'm sure they must have a different feel to them. Trying to decide whether we should try one or wait until DD is a bit older. Hmm...decisions, decisions! We too want to try to go during the food and wine festival-first time for us too. Now, to convince the husband...

Yes, we have stayed at all three of the EPCOT resorts before during various visits, but our primary hotel has always been the Polynesian. If I had young children, I would find the EPCOT resorts less convenient because of the proximity to MK and the need to bus there. Since our kids are older (and we don't do MK that often), we stay at the Polynesian due to our love of it! :lmao: For our money, the Polynesian has the best transportation options AND great CMs, not that there aren't wonderful CMs at the other resorts as well.

For this stay, I know my husband and I would be focusing on EPCOT and one of the EPCOT resorts would be a great fit. At this point it is just a matter of whether we want to spend the extra money for the convenience of YC, BC, or BWI or save a large chunk of change by staying at a moderate and be a little less accessible to EPCOT. We really do hate the busses. . .and we don't want to rent a car and drive while on vacation.

I'm with you--decisions, decisions. . . :confused3

We are going a week later, the 19th-27th and I'm scared :scared1: by your comment about the heat....is it really hot? Are we talking sunny days or Africa-hot? Do you know when the temperature starts to come down?

I must say that I'm really jazzed about getting to try the F&W fest, but I can't deal with serious heat and humidity....

If you can't deal with serious heat and humidity DON'T GO!!! We went the end of Sept. 2007. Never been to Africa, can't imagine it's hotter. It was like vacationing on the face of the sun.

We are going Sept 26-Oct 3. I love this time of year. Lower crowd levels. F&W festival and MNSSHP. I'm not crazy about the heat or the humidity but that just means we have an excuse to take pool breaks.

Have fun!

We took advantage of 3 date windows

March 4-8
Oct 25 -Nov 1
Dec 14-17

We will be at the Poly Lagoon View Club Level from November 29 - December 6! I'm so excited that the Xmas decorations will be up. We were there Jan 5-12 2008 and it got me more in the Christmas spirit than I was BEFORE xmas.

I'm so glad I can get all the Christmas-y fun and then come home and be totally in the holiday mood!

I couldn't have done it without the 40% code!

DH and I have been planning to go back to WDW in the Fall of '09. I wanted to go in Oct. - better for my work schedule and not so HOT. DH found good flights for us, but only in Sept. So we booked 10 nights at ASMu at the AAA rate. We were satisfied with $787. But less than a week later we got a 40% code, so we switched to POFQ for $220 more.

In 2005 and 2006 we went to WDW for free dining. Those trips were planned around that offer. This trip just happened to fall in an eligible time period. Now I have to figure out what we will do when/if FD is offered again.

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

We are going Nov 29-Dec 5 staying at the WL!!

I also have march 7-10 on hold and am currently looking for airfare!
