? for those of you who fly Southwest

I'm a longtime USAir flyer, but with all the problems they are having, I'm just not comfortable booking a flight too far in advance with them. Now that Philly has Southwest, I'd like to use them. When do they typically open the dates for November? We will be going Nov. 5-12. TIA

Southwest doesn't open up their schedule on set dates. I can't figure out how and when they do it. I just bookmark the page and check it every morning and afternoon to make sure I get the good fair.

My family always flies SW out of Midway and from past bookings they usually open up apx. 3 months before you departure date. I would suggest checking in mid July, earlyAugust for your November trip.

i would start checking in mid July and kept checking - their really great rates only last a few days - never (here anyway) more than a week...

get on their email list and their dis thingie (okay I don't remember the name of thing again)....

Goto their website www.southewest .com and download ding it's great! And from what I understand is you ahve to have ding to be able to purchase ding fares! I am new to it too! As I always fly spirit out of AC but the prices are crazy and if that doesn't change we will be flying Southwest for the first time! My cousin is going in June after school is out and she got $39.00 fares each way! How great is that! Although from what I hear you have to fly mid week to get those fares and that she is she leaves on Wens and returns wens! Hope this helps! Also subscribe to southwest's Click and save email's!

I just spoke with a customer service rep at SWA yesterday, and during the conversation, asked her if she knew when they were going to release their next round of flights, and would that be through Thanksgiving?

She told me she thinks they might release them this week or next, and they typically release their schedules on Thursdays or Fridays.

Now, who knows how accurate she is (I'm very jaded after dealing with all our friends at CRO), but here's hoping. I need 11/29!!
