where do you get your containers to put them in. I know I can re-use what I have and spray bottles aren't really hard to find, but what I really want is a flip top or something like a soft scrub container (since that's what I'm making to clean my tubs). I don't have an old one and my dish soap bottle is full, so it will be a while 'til I can use that. I have looked at the obvious places...Walmart, Target, Lowes & Home Depot. Any other suggestions or known go to places or websites?

How about a water bottle with a pull-up top? If you don't have any, I'm pretty sure they sell them at the Dollar Store. Or just buy some water at the mini-mart :)

I don't use soft scrub so I was thinking a completely different kind of cleaning supply. I thought it was something you sprinkled (powder) and I was going to suggest those restaurant containers that are on tables with the sprinkle cheeses.

restaurant supply stores should have those plastic ketchup/mustard type bottles, that would prolly work. i use one of those red paper flake/parm cheese shakers for my baking soda which i got at one of those stores. you may be able to find these type of containers in kitchen sections of certain stores, but you would prolly have to hunt around a bit.

I get most of mine at Lowes. they have just about every type that I need. They may cost a little more up front than a place like a dollar store, but I have found that the quality is better and they last longer.

I've checked all those places and have come up emptyhanded. Never thought of the ketchup like containers. Maybe I will see how those work and then keep hunting from there.

Thanks.

how about buying soft scrub just once and refilling it w/ your own solution when the "real" stuff is gone? Then you won't have to worry about what's in the mystery bottle later on...Just a thought...

I do make my own powder detergent (1 c borax, 1 c arm & hammer detergent, grated bar of fels-naptha soap). It lasts for months, you only use 1 Tablespoon each load. I keep it in a big folgers plastic coffee can:thumbsup 2

I actually emptied a Mrs. Buttersworth syrup bottle this morning with DD's pancakes, so I'm going to wash that and use it :)

I did use my homemade dryer sheet/towel this morning with my load of sheets and so far, I LOVE it and it was very easy :)
