For Those Of You That Are On Free Ddp

I am wondering something, and hoping someone can help me.?.. We are planning a trip for next sep and OF course are hoping that the free ddp is offered again (one can dream right??)anyway for those that booked this for the end of Aug/sep of this year..
Do you remember when you booked? when did they announce the promotion?? this will help in our planning and I want to make sure I don't miss the boat so to speak... Thanks for your time...

Hi! We just returned from our trip, Sept 1-8th on the free dining plan. I booked our trip last May. I believe the deadline was June 6th to start with and then they extended until June 26th. I am unsure when the announcement was made, but I will be looking for it the first of next year!!

It was announced in April. I made my ADRs immediately after hanging up the phone with CRO. The Visa deal was available for Disney Visa cardholders for a couple of days before the public could book the package. I called during the Visa booking time before the gates openned to all others.

The booking opened on April 1 for Disney Visa customers. I don't remember which day it opened to the public. I already had all my ADR's made for my trip by that time. We went August 13-26th (only on free dining the second week), and I made my ADR's 180 days out.

It opened for the Public on April 4, because that is the day I booked our vacation. Well actually cancelled my original one and rebooked a new one.

I had our vacation booked offsite.........then when free dining came out, I cancelled everything except our flights and rebooked with Disney. I did the math, and it would cost the same as staying offsite and paying for our food OOP.
