For those of you despairing over the ADR you couldn't get...

We leave for our first Disney trip in four days! Hooray! Anyways, when we booked our trip, it was already after the 180 day mark for ADR's, so I missed out on a lot of restaurants and experiences I really wanted because we didn't even book until 3-4 months ago. Needless to say, CRT, California Grill, BOG, Ohana, the Tomorrowland Dessert Party, and a few others were all gone before I even started booking. However, the past 4-5 days I have been stalking the the disney ADR's because I read on the easyWDW site that 7-10 days before trip dates, people start dumping their extra reservations as they finalize exactly what they are going to do. I just wanted to tell those of you out there who are having trouble getting a certain restaurant or activity.... that this ABSOLUTELY worked for me! I got a every single one of the above mentioned ADR's that I wanted (BOG, CRT, TTFDP, etc...) and all within the past 4-5 days!!!! So don't give up hope, a little diligence and you can make those puppies yours!!!! Hope this helps someone.

Booked our packaged after the 180 day mark and really hoping for this same kind of luck. I have been looking daily for the Wishes Fireworks Dessert party and nothing is open for the night were there. Good to hear you got yours this gives me hope!

If you want something at Downtown Disney - keep in mind you could call the restaurant directly. They only give Disney certain slots. T-Rex was once showing no openings. I called the restaurant directly and basically was told to choose my time.

PS: I read in another post that you can use DisneyDiningbuddy to alert you if a time slot opens for the dessert party on a night of your choosing, but it costs $8 a reservation.

You might also try again just after the FP+ dates. I know I will be dumping my extra adrs right after we finalize our itinerary, which will be a few days after selecting FP...
