*For those of you who just thought
you knew everything, *
here's a refresher course...

****

The liquid inside young coconuts *
can *be used as a substitute for
blood *plasma.
*** *
No piece of paper can be folded in half
more *than seven (7) times.
***
Donkeys *kill more people annually
than plane *crashes. *
***
You burn more calories *sleeping *
than you do watching *television.
(if this is true I'm going to bed right now and stay there.)**
***

Oak trees do not produce acorns
until they are *fifty (50) years of age or *older.
***
The *first product to have a bar *code *
was Wrigley's gum. *
***

The king of hearts is the only king
without a *mustache.
*** *

American Airlines saved $40,000 in 1987 *
by *eliminating *one (1) olive
from each salad served in *first-class. *
***
Venus *is *the only planet that rotates clockwise. *
(Since Venus is *normally associated with women, what does this tell you!) *
***
Apples, *not caffeine,
are more efficient at waking *you up in the *morning.
*** *
Most dust particles in your house are made from *
dead *skin. *
***
The *first owner of the Marlboro Company
died *of lung cancer.
So *did the *first "MarlboroMan.
" *
***
Walt *Disney was afraid of mice. *
***

Pearls *melt *in vinegar. *

***

Dentists *have recommended that a toothbrush

***

Richard *Millhouse Nixon *

**
The second ? *

(Please *don't tell me you're SURPRISED!?!!)

Now *you know *everything *
there *is to know. **

Of *importance, that is !!! *

I loved it. Thanks. :)

I actually knew a couple of thouse. I knew the disney one, and the nixon one, and the pearls and cow ones, and the paper one (I tried that, actually when I was 5), I also knew the acorn one (I'm a Homehorticulturist in 4h), and the duck one I saw on Mythbusters.

I don't get the paper one. I would think that you can fold a piece of paper in half as many times as you wish. Am I being dense?

I just tried it with 8.5X11. I got to 5x. :badpc:

very interesting ... i learn something new on these boards everyday! :)

My oak trees are not 50 years old. Maybe 15. We have been in our house 4 years now and they have always had acorns.

Of course
I know everything. Im the brains of the operation!!!!

I tried that paper one, I got up to six.

I don't think the paper thing is true. If you start with a giant piece you would be able to fold it more than 7 times.

You have to be folding the paper IN HALF not just folding it. No matter how big it is it gets too thick to fold it in half after 7 times

I have to print the list for my dad. We always joke that he knows everything. No matter where we go he has some little tid-bit of info about anything. He knows the oddest things- so I'll have to see if he knows any of these.

I understand IN HALF but if the paper is thin it works. I just did it using a piece of thin paper about 24" square and I was able to fold it IN HALF 9 times.

Honestly ... I knew most of those already

because I've seen the list before :rotfl2:

Then how did they get the cow DOWN stairs again?

I just learned the coconut milk one this week. It's in A Map of the Child. Great book by the way.
